20/20 July 21, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back at you again to let you know that the ABC people do have another episode of 20/20 all queued up and ready to go for you guys tonight, July 21, 2023. However, this particular episode will be a repeat episode. Yes, the repeat episodes are continuing this week. Some of you guys might not have seen this repeat episode when it originally aired. So, we have some preview information for it.
ABC served up an official press release for tonight’s July 21, 2023 repeat episode. So, we’re going to certainly refer to it for this preview report. Let’s get to it.
To start, there is an official title for tonight’s July 21, 2023 repeat episode of 20/20. It’s called, “The Dating Game Killer.” It originally aired way back on January 8, 2021.
In tonight’s July 21, 2023 repeat episode, the 20/20 team took a deep look at a story about a man named Rodney Alcala. Way back in 1968, Rodney started a series of cross-country, serial killer attacks by luring a young girl into his car that was parked outside of the iconic Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood, California.
His attacks went on for over a decade as he pretended to be a professional photographer to trick these poor women. He took things even one step further back in 1978 by going on a popular show called “The Dating Game” and winning it!
This episode featured interviews with: Tali Shapiro, who miraculously survived an attack by Alcala when she was just 8 years old; Chris Camacho, a former LAPD officer who saved Shapiro’s life; Jed Mills, who sat beside Alcala on “The Dating Game” as a fellow contestant; Gina Satriano, a Los Angeles prosecutor; Matt Murphy, an Orange County prosecutor and ABC News contributor; and victims’ family members.
This episode also features the 2013 interrogation of Alcala by Wyoming authorities about his alleged role in the murder of Christine Thornton 36 years earlier, which he denies.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s July 21, 2023 repeat episode of Dateline NBC reads like this, “In the 1970s, a notorious serial killer makes a winning appearance as a contestant on a popular dating show in the midst of his killing spree.”
If any of you guys missed this particular repeat episode of 20/20 when it originally aired, you might still want to hit up ABC tonight to check it out. If you did see this repeat episode when it origially hit the air, and you have no desire to watch it again, you will certainly want to get some other plans lined up for tonight as soon as you can.
ABC’s press release confirmed that 20/20 will be a repeat episode again tonight, July 21, 2023, and it’s scheduled to show up on your TV screens, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
