New 20/20 December 15, 2023 Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back in your faces to let you know that another new, 2-hour edition of 20/20 will be served up to you tonight, December 15, 2023. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode will be the 10th installment of 20/20’s current season 46, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
We were able to get a hold of an official press release for tonight’s new, December 15, 2023 episode 10 from ABC. So, we will certainly dive into it for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
First thing’s first. ABC let us know that tonight’s new episode 10 of 20/20 season 46 is officially titled, “All American Murder.” In tonight’s new, December 15, 2023 episode 10, the 20/20 team will take a deep look at a story about a man named Antonio Armstrong and his wife Dawn Armstrong.
Antonio was a former NFL football player who became a successful business owner. He and his wife had a 16 year old son named AJ, and they seemed to have a nice Texas family until Antonio and Dawn were found shot to death in the bedroom of their own house way back in July 2016.
AJ called 911 and reported that he heard the gunshots go off. When the police arrived, Dawn was dead, and Antonio was just barely alive and eventually died. The investigators who worked this case threw all the blame on AJ. This case has gone to trial twice and ended up with a hung jury. However, some new, very important evidence that was previously overlooked turned up and allowed this case to finally be cracked along with serving a legal resolution.
ABC News chief national correspondent Matt Gutman handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. He will present inside details for AJ Armstrong’s third murder trial along with the undiscovered evidence that took seven years to find.
This episode will also feature interviews with: Harris County prosecutors John Jordan and Ryan Trask, retired Houston Police Department Detective Jimmy Dodson, defense attorneys Rick Detoto and Chris Collings, and AJ Armstrong, in which he denies any involvement in the murders and describes what he claims really happened in the house that night.
There will also be interviews with key members of the Armstrong family, including AJ’s grandmother, Kay Winston; sister, Kayra Armstrong, the only other person in the house that night; and Kate Ober, AJ’s wife, who has stood by his side since his parents’ murders. In addition, the two-hour program includes police footage of the crime scene, audio of the 911 call and audio of the initial police interview with AJ, in which he maintains his innocence.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, December 15, 2023 episode 10 of 20/20 season 46 reads like this, “A Texas couple murdered in their bed, is the culprit a masked intruder or closer to home? ’20/20′ DOCUMENTS CASE OF SON’S TRIAL FOR KILLING HIS PARENTS AFTER TWO HUNG JURIES. This Two-Hour Program Features an Inside Look at the Shocking Evidence That Turned a Murder Trial on Its Head.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 10 of 20/20’s current season 46 is indeed scheduled to hit your TV sets tonight, December 15, 2023, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time. Tonight’s new episode will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
