Saturday Night LIVE August 5, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “Saturday Night LIVE” fans. We are back with another Saturday Night Live status report for you guys. Once again, NBC will be forced to serve up a repeat episode of Saturday Night LIVE tonight, August 5, 2023 due to issues stemming from the WGA writers strike, which is now 3 months old and counting. It started back on May 2, 2023. The actors joined in with them on July 13, 2023 due to some of the same issues with the studios.
Something positive did develop this week. The AMPTP union that represents the studios did finally try to come back to the bargaining table with the WGA writers union after walking away for a couple of weeks. However, they have still not been able to reach a new agreement as of yet. Hopefully, they will reach some sort of an agreement soon, so they don’t send the whole industry into dismay.
With all of that said, we did track down the repeat episode of Saturday Night LIVE that NBC is serving up tonight via the TV Guide listings. They’re going to re-air the episode that originally aired way back on December 10, 2022. It featured 77 year old American comedian, actor, writer, producer and musician Steve Martin along with 73 year old Canadian-American actor, comedian, and writer Martin short. They both show up to do some duel hosting duties for this episode.
This episode also featured 42 year old American singer/songwriter, author and activist Brandi Carlile showing up to do some musical performances.
If any of you guys happened to have missed this particular repeat episode of Saturday Night LIVE when it originally aired, you might still want to hit up CBS tonight to check it out. If you did see that repeat episode when it first aired, and you have no desire whatsoever to see it again, you will certainly want to ditch CBS tonight at that time and get some alternate plans set up.
Again, it’s been confirmed that Saturday Night LIVE will be a repeat episode again tonight, August 5, 2023, and it’s scheduled to show on your TV screens, starting at approximately 10:29 pm central standard time.
