48 hours August 5, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back in action to let you know that the folks over at CBS will be serving up another episode of 48 Hours tonight, August 5, 2023. However, just like in recent weeks, tonight’s episode will not be a new one. It’s going to be a repeat again. Some of you guys might not have seen this particular repeat episode when it originally hit the air. So, we’re going to give you guys a little preview session for it.
CBS put out a new press release for tonight’s August 5, 2023 repeat episode. So, we’re going to see what it has to say for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
The first thing CBS let us know about this repeat episode is that it’s officially labeled/titled, “The Snapchat Clue.” It originally aired back on November 5, 2022.
In tonight’s August 5, 2023 repeat episode, the 48 Hours team took a deep look at a story about a Windsor, Wisconsin couple named Bart and Krista Halderson who all of a sudden disappeared from existence back in July of 2021. Before their disappearance, they seemed to have a nice life with two adult sons they adored.
The investigators that worked this case immediately started questioning the family members for intel on this very strange case. They questioned the two sons Mitchell and Chandler who were ages 24 and 23 at the time. Chandler told the investigators that Bart and Krista went to a family cabin for the July 4 holiday weekend and never returned. Eventually, the detectives finally dug up a clue on the social media app Snapchat. 48 Hours correspondent Erin Moriarty handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
CBS’ official description for tonight’s August 5, 2023 repeat episode of 48 Hours reads like this, “Bart and Krista Halderson had a beautiful home in Windsor, Wis., and two adult sons they adored, so when Bart and Krista suddenly disappeared in July 2021, it stunned their community. 48 HOURS correspondent Erin Moriarty reports on how information found on social media would lead investigators to their killer.
Mystery surrounded the couple’s disappearance, and investigators immediately turned to family members for information, including sons Mitchell, who was 24 and worked in tech, and Chandler, then a 23-year-old college student living at home. Chandler was excited about a new job offer he said he had with Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Chandler told police his parents had gone to the family cabin for the July 4 holiday weekend and never returned. Then, police would finally find a clue in the most unlikely place – the social media app Snapchat in an encore of “The Snapchat Clue.”
If any of you guys happened to have missed that particular repeat episode of 48 Hours when it originally aired, you might still want to flip on CBS tonight to check it out. If did see this repeat episode when it originally aired, and you have no desire to watch it again, you will certainly want ditch CBS tonight during that time and get some alternate plans lined up.
CBS’ press release confirmed that 48 hours will be a repeat episode again tonight, August 5, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit your TV screens, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
