Big Brother August 24, 2023 Evicted Hisam Goueli (Recap)

Hey, “Big Brother” fans. Tonight, August 24, 2023, another new episode of Big Brother’s current season 25 did indeed hit the air. Tonight’s new episode was another LIVE eviction episode. So, one of the houseguests did get sent packing at the end of it.

Tonight’s new episode kicked off with footage of what happened in the house after Jag took himself off the block, and HOH (Head Of Household) Felicia threw Hisam on the block for the backdoor play at the last POV ceremony. Jag told the private cams aka the Diary room, “I used the veto on myself to make sure I’m good.”

Matt told the private cams, “I feel good about Hisam getting backdoored.” Felica told the private cams, “Hisam is going out. Nobody wants him in the house.” Hisam told the private cams,”This is painful. This hurts, but I will keep fighting for myself.”

Felicia told Hisam, “I just felt I had an opportunity I never would have again.” Hisam said, “I’m hurt. I thought we were working together, and that wasn’t the case.” Hisam told the private cams, “This is a stupid game move.” Hisam talked with Izzy. Izzy told Hisam, “I’m not here to play your game. I don’t like being told what to do.

You told America you got stuck with us like leftovers. That’s not ok. So, you were a liability.” Hisam said, “I’m sorry I made you feel that way. I was just trying to make myself safe with them. That was a mistake. It’s too bad. I need to make amends with everyone.”

Hisam told Felicia, “What I was trying to do was get close to other people to help out our alliance.” Felicia said, “But you never told us what you were doing.” Felicia told the private cams, “Hisam has to reap what he sowed.” Hisam told Izzy,”I trusted you and saw you as family. Have mercy on me. Give me your vote. I will let bygones be bygones if you do this for me.”

Izzy told the private cams, “I think Hisam has the ability to be in debt to us.” Hisam told Cirie,”If the Professors save me, I will stick with you and not go after you.” Cirie told the private cams, “I have to take Hisam’s pitch into consideration. I believe he is redeemable.”

Izzy, Felicia and Cirie talked about possibly saving Hisam. Then, they talked with Hisam about it. He promised them he would never try to get revenge on them. So, they started contemplating where to get votes to keep Hisam. Cirie told the private cams, “It’s risky for us to put our necks on the line for Hisam at this point. I’m not sure what we should do.”

After all of that, the eviction nominees Hisam and Cameron gave their final plea speeches. Then, the rest of the houseguests minus HOH Felicia casts their votes to evict. Red, Jag, Bowie Jane, Blue, Matt, Cirie, America, Izzy, Cory, Jared and Mecole all voted to evict Hisam. No one voted to evict Cameron. So, with a unanimous vote of 11-0, Hisam did get evicted from the Big Brother season 25 house tonight. He was a good sport about it and gave everyone a hug on the way out.

Then, former houseguest Kaysar appeared on the screen to inform the remaining houseguests that they will be competing in a new version of the pressure cooker competition for HOH tonight.

Next, we saw Hisam’s exit interview with host Julie Chen-Moonves. Hisam told Julie, “I’m a really fierce competitor, bold and honest, and people can get intimidated by that. I also trusted the wrong people. I can see why my HOH was seen as a dictatorship. I was trying to strategize how all 7 of us could make it to the end, and I was blinded by what I thought was best. I’m a doctor ,and I’m used to making a lot of decisions.”

Julie told Hisam that Cirie and Jared are mother and son. He said, “That makes since they look a lot alike, and they’re doing a good job of hiding their relationship.” Hisam capped off the interview by saying, “I had a really great time, and I learned a lot.”

Next, the remaining houseguests competed in the new HOH competition. It was the new version of the pressure cooker comp from the Scaryverse. It was an endurance comp. They had to hold down a button. The person left holding the button the longest, won. If they let go of the button, they had to claim a card from the wall, which could contain something good or bad.

Since this was an endurance comp, it lasted well beyond the constraints of the LIVE eviction episode. In fact, they’re still competing on the Big Brother LIVE feeds as I’m writing this right now. They’ve gone well past two hours with this comp. So, we’re going to have to deliver the HOH results later on tomorrow.
