48 hours September 8, 2023 Repeat Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back in action to let you know that the folks over at CBS are serving up another episode of 48 Hours tonight, September 8, 2023. Yeah, they’re not going to air one in tomorrow’s usual Saturday night time slot due to some LIVE College football coverage, but they will finally be back with all-new episodes on Saturday night, September 16, 2023. So, definitely make note of that.
In the meantime, CBS has a repeat episode of 48 Hours to serve up tonight, and we’ve got some preview info for it in case some of you guys missed this repeat episode when it originally aired.
CBS gave us a new, official press release for tonight’s, September 8, 2023 repeat episode. So, we’re going to certainly reference it for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
For starters, there is an official title for tonight’s, September 8, 2023 repeat episode of 48 Hours. It’s called, “The Brighton Ax Murder.” It originally aired back on February 25, 2023.
In tonight’s ,September 8, 2023 repeat episode, the 48 Hours team took a deep look at a story about a woman named Cathy Krauseneck. She was found dead way, way back on February 19, 1982 by her husband Jim Krauseneck. He said he found her dead in their bed with an ax in her head! American reporter Erin Moriarty handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
This case went cold for 4 whole decades. Then, finally in 2019, authorities in Monroe County, New York hired a forensic pathologist named Michael Baden to investigate the case. Michael believed that the murder took place around 3:30am, which means Cathy’s husband Jim would’ve been home at the time. So, they eventually charged, tried and convicted Jim for the murder of Cathy Krauseneck. Jim, his current wife Sharon and his attorneys insisted that he did not kill Cathy.
CBS’ official description for tonight’s September 8, 2023 repeat episode of 48 Hours reads like this,”FOR FOUR DECADES, THE MURDER OF A NEW YORK WOMAN WAS ONE OF THE OLDEST AND COLDEST CASES IN AMERICA – BUT PROSECUTORS SAY SOME UNUSUAL CLUES POINTED TO A SUSPECT.”
An alternate description tells us,”The 1982 murder of Cathy Krauseneck and the case against her husband, Jim, who says he found her dead in their bed with an ax in her head.”
If any of you guys happened to have missed this particular repeat episode of 48 Hours when it originally aired, you might still want to hit up CBS tonight to check it out. If you did already see this repeat episode, and you have no desire to watch it again, you will certainly want to make some other plans for tonight as quickly as you can.
Again, CBS confirmed that 48 Hours will be a repeat episode again tonight, September 8, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit your TV sets, starting at approximately 9:17 pm central standard time.
