Big Brother October 5, 2023 Evicted Mecole Hayes. New HOH Revealed (Recap)
Hey, “Big Brother” fans. Tonight, October 5, 2023, another new, LIVE eviction episode for Big Brother season 25 did indeed air, and we saw another unlucky houseguest get evicted at the end of it. We also got to see a very rare, LIVE HOH competition to wrap things up.
Tonight’s new, LIVE eviction episode kicked off with footage of what happened at the last POV ceremony. It picked up where the last episode left off with reigning HOH (Head Of Household) and POV (Power Of Veto) winner Cameron about to reveal if he’s using the veto or not. He decided not to use the veto. So, Felicia and Mecole remained the final two eviction nominees this week.
Felicia told the Diary Room aka private cameras, “Cory and America are the bigger threats. So, I tried to convince everyone that they are by calling out Cory in front of everyone.”
America confronted Felicia for going off on Cory after the POV ceremony. America told Felicia she was trying make final 4 deals. Felicia straight up told America, “You are lying. I never tried to do that.” America told the private cams, “Of course I’m not going to tell the truth on Big Brother. Duh.”
Cameron told the private cams, “This couldn’t be any better. Felicia painting a target on Cory and America’s back.” Cirie told the private cams, “I’m not lifting a finger to help either Mecole or Felicia.”
Cameron told Cory, “Blue was wanting me to get you out via a backdoor.” Cameron told the private cams, “I want Cory to think Blue is his enemy. Go after Blue.”
Matt and Cory had a chat about Blue targeting Cory. Matt told Cory, “We didn’t entertain Blue’s plan to get you out. We shut it down immediately.” Matt told the private cams, “I want to make Cory believe we didn’t entertain Blue’s pitch to get him out.” Meanwhile, Cory told the private cams, “I just need Matt and Jag to think I trust them even if I don’t because they’ll try to get me out if I don’t.”
Felicia told the private cams, “They need to leave me in the house to go after Cory and take the big shots because I’m not scared to do it.”
Jag told the private cams, “I’m thinking about trying to convince Cory that we should keep Felicia.” Cory told Jag and Matt Mecole has more of a chance of winning something than Felicia, and he was actually digging the idea of keeping Felicia. Jag told the private cams,”Did this just fall into our laps. Cory wants to keep someone around who’s actually targeting him and America? You know what time it is. Minutemen time.” (aka he really liked it).
After all of that, the eviction nominees Felicia and Mecole gave their final plea speeches. Then, the rest of the houseguests cast their votes to evict. No one voted to evict Felicia. Cory, Cirie, Blue, Matt, Jag, America and Bowie all voted to evict Mecole. So, by a unanimous vote of 7-0, Mecole got evicted from the Big Brother season 25 house tonight. On the way out, Mecole called out Cory, America and Bowie’s alliance and warned everyone to get them out.
Mecola gave her exit interview with host Julie Chen-Moonves. During it, Mecole told Julie, “Cory and America tried to pretend to be my friend all season. I never trusted them, and they never trusted me. I’m not surprised with how things turned out tonight.” Julie told Mecole that Jared and Cirie are mother and son. She was really surprised by that.
After the Mecole exit interview, we got footage of the remaining houseguests being shown Humiliverse photos to practice for the next HOH. Then, the new, LIVE HOH comp started. It was titled, “Humili-Gram.” During it, they were asked true or false questions about the Humiliverse photos they were previously shown. So, it was a quiz comp.
It came down to a tie breaker between Bowie and Felicia, and Bowie won it to claim the new HOH title this week. To cap off tonight’s episode, Julie told the remaining houseguests that they all have at least made it to jury.
The next big question is who will Bowie nominate for eviction this week? We will certainly find that out during tomorrow’s nomination ceremony.
