New 20/20 October 6, 2023 Episode Preview Revealed

Hey,”20/20″ fans. It’s that time of the week again. We are back to let you know that the folks over at ABC do have another new episode of 20/20 all queued up and ready to go for you guys tonight, October 6, 2023. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode will be the second one for 20/20’s current season 46, and we’ve got some new preview intel for it.

We were able to get a hold of an official press release for tonight’s new, October 6, 2023 episode via the folks over at ABC. So, we will certainly see what it has to say for this preview session. Let’s get into it.

First off, ABC let us know that tonight’s new, October 6, 2023 episode 2 of 20/20 season 46 does have an official title attached to it. It’s called, “Catch Us If You Can.”

In tonight’s new, October 6, 2023 episode 2, The 20/20 team is going to take a deep look at a story about a woman named Vicky White. She was a corrections officer who disappeared with a maximum-security inmate named Casey White on the very last morning of her day on the job.

At first, the investigators who worked the case thought she might have been taken hostage by a violent felon. However, upon further investigation, they started to actually question exactly what role did Vicky play in Casey’s escape. There was an 11-day search for these two, which involved multiple law enforcement agencies. Eventually, evidence turned up, revealing that Vicky and Casey knew each other better than anyone could’ve ever thought. Authorities questioned whether it was a kidnapping or a forbidden romance.

Co-anchor Deborah Roberts handled the reporting duties for this case and episode. It features exclusive interviews with Georgineo Lopez, Casey’s former cellmate, who provides a first-hand account of Vicky and Casey’s relationship; Vicky’s friends and co-workers, including Tonya Lester, Candy Allen and Judge Carole Medley, who speak to Vicky’s character and devotion to her job.

Retired U.S. Marshal, Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force Bryan Bishop and former Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding, members of the team that captured Casey and put him back in prison; Matt Burbank, a Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office investigator and a friend of Vicky’s; Marshal Martin Keely, Commander Chad Hunt and Deputy Commander Ross Manley, who headed up the search for Casey and Vicky.

Casey’s attorney, Mark McDaniel; and Major Jason Ashworth, the first police officer to interrogate Casey after authorities apprehended him. This episode also features exclusive police body camera and dashcam videos of the search’s climactic end and never-before-seen letters Casey wrote just before his capture, ultimately revealing the nature of his relationship with Vicky.

ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, October 6, 2023 episode 2 of 20/20 season 46 reads like this, “A CASE OF LOVE OR COERCION? NEW ‘20/20’ EXPLORES DRAMATIC JAILBREAK INVOLVING AN INMATE AND A CORRECTIONS OFFICER. The Program Features Exclusive Interviews With Escaped Inmate’s Former Cellmate, Missing Corrections Officer’s Friends and Colleagues, and Investigators Who Tracked the Two Missing People Down.”

ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 2 of 20/20’s current season 46 is indeed scheduled to hit your TV screens tonight, October 6, 2023, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
