New 20/20 December 14, 2023 Special Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back in your faces to let you know that the folks over at ABC have whipped up another new, special edition of 20/20 for you guys tonight, December 14, 2023, and we’ve got some new preview information for it straight from ABC via their official press release. So, we’re going to crack it open and go over it with you right now. Let’s get to it.
To start, there is an official title for tonight’s special, December 14, 2023 edition of 20/20. It’s called, “Disney 100: A Century of Dreams – A Special Edition of 20/20.”
In tonight’s new, December 14, 2023 episode, the 20/20 team will serve up a documentary special event that commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Disney company. They’re going to take you way, way back to the very beginnings of the company in 1923. They will take a look at the creation of the Disney Brothers Studio and all the brands they own like: Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and 21st Century Fox. The team will also serve up an exclusive inside look at an all-new Disney attraction at some point in this episode.
They will take a look at the creation of the iconic Mickey Mouse character. They will go over the quest to make Disney’s first feature-length animated movie “Snow White,” and how it nearly caused Disney to go bankrupt!
This episode will also feature interviews with: Disney CEO Bob Iger, the legendary stars of Disney’s critically acclaimed hit musical fantasy film “Mary Poppins” Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke and Walt Disney’s grandsons Chris Miller and Walter Miller.
Award-winning musical collaborators – including songwriter Richard Sherman of the prolific Sherman Brothers, legendary recording artist Elton John, composer Alan Menken and singer/songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda – discuss the powerful role of music in Disney’s storytelling.
Stars from Disney’s animated feature films – including Idina Menzel (Elsa, “Frozen” and “Frozen 2”), Jodi Benson (Ariel, “The Little Mermaid”), Paige O’Hara (Belle, “Beauty and the Beast”) and Ariana DeBose (Asha, “Wish”) – talk about voicing the animated musicals. Additional appearances include journalists Chris Connelly and Kelley L. Carter, Katy Perry, Chris Evans, John Stamos, “Mickey Mouse Club” actor Josh Ackerman, Disney Channel star Christy Carlson Romano, Disney Legends, experts and more.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, December 14, 2023 special edition of 20/20 reads like this, “ABC NEWS STUDIOS ANNOUNCES THE ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME DOCUMENTARY EVENT ‘DISNEY 100: A CENTURY OF DREAMS – A SPECIAL EDITION OF 20/20. The Special Features Interviews, Rare Footage and Photos, Never-Before-Heard Stories From Those Who Built the Disney Legend, and a Look Inside Disney’s Newest Attraction.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that this special 20/20, Disney special is indeed scheduled to hit your TV screens tonight, December 14, 2023, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time. Tonight’s new episode will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
