New 48 Hours November 18, 2023 Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We are back on here with some absolutely terrific news for guys because CBS is going to finally start airing new episodes of 48 Hours again tonight, November 18, 2023. That’s right, guys. CBS is going to finally serve up the next, new episode 8 of 48 Hours season 37 tonight after delaying it for the past two weeks, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
CBS put out an official press release for tonight’s new, November 18, 2023 episode 8. So, we will certainly be taking a look at it for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
For starters, CBS let us know that tonight’s new, November 18, 2023 episode 8 of 48 Hours season 37 is officially labeled/titled, “The Hunt for Sarah Yarborough’s Killer.”
In tonight’s new, November 18, 2023 episode 8, the 48 Hours team is going to take a deep look at a story about a girl named Sarah Yarborough. She was a 16 year old honor student way, way back in 1991. On December 14, 1991, Sarah was sadly killed while trying to make it to her drill team practice at Federal Way High School located just outside of Seattle, Washington. Her body was found a hundred yards away from her car on the school’s campus.
This episode will feature interviews with key people who were involved in finally tracking down the culprit who murdered Sarah. You guys will also see first television interviews with Sarah’s family and friends along with a woman who was actually attacked by the same guy that killed Sarah.
Scott Strathy was one of the first detectives on the scene, and he told 48 Hours, “Even for experienced investigators, this scene was really hard to deal with. Just the innocent nature of this young woman in her school drill team uniform with her hot curlers still in her hair. This was just pure unadulterated evil.”
The killer’s DNA was found on pieces of Sarah Yarborough’s clothing, and that made everyone think thus case would soon be solved. Some boys who were at the scene of the crime were also able to help the police make a sketch drawing of the killer.
However, the case ended up going ice cold for nearly 30 years. Then, finally, with the advancement of DNA technology and forensic genetic genealogy, the investigators identified the killer as being Patrick Nicholas, and they arrested him. He had actually just been released from prison for attacking other women when the murder took place. Correspondent Natalie Morales handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
CBS’ official description for tonight’s new, November 18, 2023 episode 8 of 48 Hours season 37 reads like this, “A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ON HER WAY TO DRILL TEAM PRACTICE IS FOUND DEAD ON CAMPUS – IT TOOK NEARLY THREE DECADES TO CATCH HER KILLER.”
CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 8 of 48 Hours’ current season 37 is indeed scheduled to finally hit the air tonight, November 18, 2023, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. Tonight’s new episode will be a 1-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
