New 60 Minutes January 21, 2024 Episode Delayed. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. Unfortunately, we’re back on here with some very bad news for you guys. It turns out that the CBS people have some other TV obligations tonight. So, they are not airing a new episode of 60 Minutes tonight, January 21, 2024. That’s right, guys. It’s just not going to happen.
On a much brighter note, we are currently seeing in the TV guide listings that CBS is scheduled to air a new episode of 60 Minutes next Sunday night, January 28, 2024. CBS has not yet put out an official press release for a new, January 28, 2024 episode. So, we will need to wait for that to happen to be 100 percent sure that a new episode is airing next Sunday night. We’ll jump back on here next Sunday to inform you if they have or not. I’m guessing that a new episode will show up next week. So, just keep that in mind.
With all that said, we did find out why CBS is not airing a new episode of 60 Minutes tonight. According to the TV guide listings, CBS will be providing LIVE coverage for an NFL football game featuring the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Buffalo Bills.
CBS’ official description for their LIVE coverage of this NFL football game reads like this, “NFL Football. Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills LIVE. The Chiefs line up against the Bills in the AFC divisional round.
Buffalo has won six straight games, a run that began with a 20-17 win over Kansas City following its bye in Week 14. Kansas City knocked Buffalo out of the postseason in 2021 and 2022. This game will take over their usual, entire primetime line up from 5:30 pm to 9 pm central standard time.
If any of you guys happen to also be NFL football fans, you might still want to flip on CBS tonight to check out this game. If you’re not a NFL football fan and only want to see brand new episodes of 60 Minutes, you will certainly want to cross CBS off your primetime list for tonight.
Again, it’s been confirmed that 60 Minutes is not airing tonight. TV guide is saying that a new episode of it will air next Sunday night, January 28, 2024. We’ll be back with further confirmation of that next week.
