Top Critics give ‘Valentine’s Day’ movie pretty bad reviews. New Line Cinemas released it’s new romantic/comedy, “Valentine’s Day” today, and the top movie critics didn’t seem to like it that much. In fact, a couple of them pretty much despised it. It stars a whole ton of celebrities which include: Jessica Alba, Kathy Bates, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Hector Elizondo, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Queen Latifah, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Shirley MacLaine, Emma Roberts, Julia Roberts, and Taylor Swift.
Wesley Morris from the Boston Globe gave it a C-. He stated, “attention Costco shoppers: Quantity here runs a distant second to quality.” Roger Ebert over at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a C. He said, “I won’t even attempt to describe the plot.”
Michael Phillips at the Chicago Tribune gave it a C. He said, “The crisscrossing, oh-she’s-related-to-him! narratives make The Longest Day look like a chamber piece.” Chris Cabin from Filmcritic.com gave it a D+. He said, it was “excruciating.”
Sheri Linden at the Hollywood Reporter gave it a C. She said, “Like a lot of Valentine’s Day gifts, showy and easily forgotten.” Manohla Dargis over at the New York Times gave it a D- rating. She stated, it was “neither romantic nor remotely comedic.” Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers gave it a D. He said, it was “a date movie from hell.”

I think the critics are being generous, I give Valentine’s Day a Z(minus). It was terrible! I would rather watch paint dry. It’s a shame that such good actors got caught up in such a car crash of a movie.
