New Total Recall 2012 movie delivered great action,suspense & more. Columbia Pictures (Sony) released their new Total Recall remake action flick into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and I thought it was great as it delivered high action scenes,lots of suspense,and more. The movie stars: Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, John Cho,and Bill Nighy.
In the new flick,character Hauser (Collin Farrell), who is a highly skilled agent working for Chancellor Vilos Cohaagen,gets captured,and his mind altered into thinking he’s a man named Douglas Quaid. Douglas is a factory worker in The Colony,and is married to his wife Lori (Kate Beckinsale).
Douglas eventually gets bored with his life and decides to visit a company called Rekall that implants artificial memories, From there, a Rekall employee named McClane (John Cho) convinces Douglas to be implanted with memories of being a secret agent. Then Quaid tests him to ensure compatibility.
However, it fails and McClane accuses Douglas of really being a spy. After that, McClane and his co-workers are suddenly gunned down by a squad of armored police officers. When Douglas gets arrested, he accidentally taps back into his old agent memories and kills all the officers to make his escape.
From there, Douglas goes on the run,and quickly discovers that Lori is not really his wife when she tries to kill him. After that, Douglas eventually hooks back up with his old running mate and girlfriend Melina (Jessica Biel) when she rescues him from being gunned down by a ton of police cars.
From this point, Douglas and Melina get reacquainted,and Douglas finds out that he’s really the very skilled agent Carl Houser,and that he defected from Chancellor Vilos Cohaagen when he found out that Cohaagen plans to destroy the Colony and unite humanity under the UFB.
After that, Carl and Melina run into more trouble with Lori and their squad of soldiers. Carl and Melina escape again,but are recaptured by Cohaagen and his men when a man named Matthias attempted to recover a code from Carl’s mind because it helped them locate their location.
Eventually, Carl is able to somehow escape ,once again,leading to a huge action-filled conclusion,where Carl is able to take down Cohaagen’s building with time-detonation bombs just before he tried to launch his attack.
Again the movie was very fun to watch. However, the first 20 minutes were pretty slow-moving,but after that, the action really picked up a 100 fold,and I was totally into it all the way until the end. Kate Backinsale did a great job with the action scenes. She’s so sexy and can really kick butt.
