New 2 Guns Movie Delivered Great Action,Drama,Comedy & More
New 2 Guns movie delivered great action, drama, comedy & more. Universal Pictures released their new action/comedy flick, “2 Guns,” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was great, serving up great action combined with some hilarious comedy, and more. The movie stars: Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, Paula Patton, Bill Paxton, Edward James Olmos, and James Marsden.
In the new flick, undercover criminals ,Robert Trench (Denzel Washington) and Michael Stigman (Mark Wahlberg), end up getting arrested by U.S. Customs after a meeting with with drug lord, Papi Greco. Unbeknownst to Stigman, Trench is an undercover DEA agent and reports to his superior, while Stigman, is an undercover NCIS that reports to his commanding officer, Harold Quince (James Marsden).
Trench eventually decides to remain undercover and assist Stigman in robbing $3 million from Greco, so they can prosecute Greco for money laundering. However, Trench and Stigman get a big surprise when they find $43 million in the vault. Eventually, Stigman betrays Trench and escapes with the money, but lets Trench live.
Later on, we soon learn that the stolen money belongs to the CIA, and they threaten to frame Robert for the murder of his boss if he doesn’t return the $43 million dollars within a certain time frame. Meanwhile, Michael’s superior tries to kill him for not killing Robert when he ran off with the money. Michael somehow escapes that near-death situation and eventually hooks back up with Robert.
After duking it out for a while and explaining to each other who they really are, Robert and Michael agree to work together to recover the $43 million dollars. However, this task is anything but easy ,and results in Robert and Michael getting caught up in major gun shootouts, car chases, death of a loved one,and more.
The conclusion served up a great action-filled scene with a couple of twists, and major shoot out action as the CIA, the drug dealers, Michael’s navy peeps all battled it out to try and claim the money. It was pretty wild. Again, I thought the movie was highly entertaining. I thought Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington worked well together and served up a ton of laughs, which kept me highly engaged and rooting for them.
The storyline was pretty high-paced and never boring. I gave the movie a solid B+ grade. Stay tuned. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
