‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ movie delivered scary,suspenseful scenes. New Line Cinema released their horror remake flick, “A Nightmare On Elm Street” this weekend,and I must say that it really delivered on the suspense. The scenes were obviously frightening enough,but it’s the suspense,the build-up,the way that they were delivered, that had me wanting to turn my head. The movie stars: Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Thomas Dekker, Kellan Lutz, Katie Cassidy, and Connie Britton.

“A Nightmare On Elm Street” revolved mostly around characters Quentin O’Grady (Kyle Gallner) and Nancy Holbrook (Rooney Mara). The two of them were apart of a group of pre-school kids that were abused by character Freddy Krueger (Jackie Earle Haley) before he died a fiery death by the townspeople after the kids started revealing what Freddy had been doing to them. Top critics gave ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ movie mediocre reviews. New Line Cinema released their new remake of “A Nightmare On Elmstreet” flick into theaters today, and most of the top movie critics thought that it was just mediocre,giving it mostly Cs and Ds. However, there were a few who liked it,and gave it a couple of Bs. The movie stars: Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Thomas Dekker, Kellan Lutz, Katie Cassidy, and Connie Britton.

Roger Ebert from the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a D. He said, “I stared at A Nightmare on Elm Street with weary resignation.” Michael Phillips at the Chicago Tribune gave it a C rating. He stated, it “offers dutifully grinding thrills of a routine sort.” Read the rest of this entry »

Twilight’s Kellan Lutz gets cut up in new ‘Nightmare On Elm Street’ movie trailer. New Line Cinema has just released the full Theatrical movie trailer (below) for their 2010 remake of ” A Nightmare On Elm Street” horror movie,and it features a lot of new scenes that the previous teaser trailer didn’t show,including “Twilight Saga” movie star Kellan Lutz getting involved in a little Freddy Krueger cutting action. Freddy Krueger is back in the new “A Nightmare on Elm Street” movie remake,and New Line Cinemas has released a new teaser movie trailer (below) for the drama,horror,thriller flick. It stars: Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Thomas Dekker, Kellan Lutz, Katie Cassidy, and Connie Britton.

Watchmen’s Jackie Earle Haley who is set to play the new Freddie Krueger in the “Nightmare on Elm Street” remake, confirmed that he has signed on for two more sequels in an interview with bloody-disgusting.com. So that’s three in total.

The first remake is set to hit theaters April 16,2010. The film will also features the “New Moon” and “Twilight” star Kellan Lutz as the character of Dean who will fall victim to a quick death before the opening credits role to get the audience interested. So he won’t be sticking around as much as he does in the “Twilight Saga” films,but at least he gets to be in a classic horror production.
