According to Access Hollywood,the HBO hit series, “True Blood” has cast Actor Denis O’Hare for season 3 of the show. He will play the vampire king of Mississippi.They didn’t say exactly when he would make his appearance on the the show,but they said it would be early in the new season,and that he’ll stay on as a series regular.
Denis O’Hare is 47 years old and his acting resume includes films such as : “Take Me Out,” “Duplicity,” “The Proposal,” “Milk” and “A Mighty Heart.” He won a Tony award for his role of Mason Marzac in “Take Me Out.”
He’s also appeared in TV shows : “CSI,” “Law & Order,” and he also played a recurring role as Travis March in ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters.”
Anna Paquin who stars as Sookie Stackhouse on HBO’s super hit show, “True Blood” recently interviewed with Nylon Magazine,according to Access Hollywood. She told them that she’s not a Barbie Doll despite dying her hair to blonde from her natural brunette color for the “True Blood” role.
She stated, “I don’t look like a Barbie doll, and probably never will.People are incredibly literal in how they view you. You have dark hair and pale skin? You must be brooding.
The stars of HBO’s new, hit,bloodsucking, TV Show “True Blood”, showed up at the recent Comic-Con 2009 event,and “The Buzz” caught up with them. In the video (below),various stars of the show commented on how exciting it was to be at Comic-Con.
Deborah Ann Woll who plays Jessica Hamby on the show,talked for a little bit. She said it was the most exciting event she’s ever seen.
EW reports that Evan Rachel Wood will be making her debut August 30 on HBO’s “True Blood” as Louisiana’s blood sucker boss lady Queen Sophia-Ann. Alan Ball the creator of the series says, “Nobody’s ever entirely happy to see her character, Louisiana’s blood-sucker boss lady, Queen Sophie-Ann. She’s very powerful, capricious and most likely insane.â€
She will also have a couple of agendas to fulfill, according to the creator. Alan stated, “She has more than one secret agenda, which we will slowly become aware of over season 3.
According to E! online with Kristin, HBO officially announced that they are already giving two of it’s shows, “True Blood” and “Entourage” another season to grace us on the small screen.
The HBO’s president of programming Michael Lombardo stated, “One of the reasons we brought True Blood back as soon as we did was it always felt like a summer show.
Ausiello from EW got to sit down with some of the cast members of HBO’s new hit show “True Blood” at the 2009 Comic-Con event. They talked with Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse),Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), and Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd (Eric Northman).
They talked a little about where the “True Blood” story is headed.They said that they wanted to surprise the fans a little bit with the story line, so they vary a little bit from the way it was written in the books.
Bourne Identity star Matt Damon is set to appear in the finale of HBO’s “Entourage”. He will play himself. It’s reported that he’ll be trying to convince Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) to donate money,and he will end up getting very extreme and intense about it.
Almost in a stalkerish manner. Adrian Grenier made a statement describing Matt’s role,saying, “The joke is that Matt is very passionate about his charity.Almost in a stalkerish kind of way.
“High School Musical” and “17 Again” star Zac Efron is set to make a cameo appearance on HBO’s Entourage in their upcoming season according to my sources. He was seen filming his cameo scenes yesterday (6-2-09) at the Niketown store in Beverly Hills according to one source. He was apparently filming a scene while talking on his cell phone according to one of the Niketown employees. None of the other cast members from “Entourage” were there,but they said that Zac was really nice.
Other big names that are slated to appear on “Entourage” this season are Tom Brady, Lil Wayne, and LeBron James. Kevin Dillon who’s an Entourage regular,said it wasn’t always easy to get celebrities to appear on the show,but then after they got Val Kilmer to appear, it became pretty easy.
