HBO’s ‘Flight Of The Concords’ TV show gets canceled. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the co-creators of HBO’s “Flight of the Concords” TV show stated on their website today, that the show will not be returning for a third season.

The co-creators, Bret McKenzie, Jemaine Clement and James Bobin made the following statement on their website: “We’ve noticed the less we say about the future of the show, the more people want to talk about it, so in an effort to reverse this trend we are today announcing that we won’t be returning for a third season,” they wrote. “We’re very proud of the two seasons we made, and we like the way the show ended.”

They report that the show’s combination of story lines, original songs and the fact that they still reside over in New Zealand are reasons that have made “Flight of the Concords” difficult to produce. This gave rose to speculation that the show may not return for a 3rd season in the past few months. The 2nd season of the show got an Emmy award nomination for “Best Comedy Series,” and Jemaine Clement got an Emmy nomination for “Best Actor.”
