New Justin Timberlake ‘In Time’ Movie Delivered Good Action,Drama & OK Plot

New Justin Timberlake ‘In Time’ movie delivered good action, drama & OK plot. 20th Century Fox released their new Justin Timberlake, branded, action/drama flick “In Time” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was pretty fun to watch. It told a good story, and had plenty of fast-paced action and drama. The movie stars: Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Vincent Kartheiser, Alex Pettyfer, and Johnny Galecki.

In the flick, everyone lives by time as a currency once they hit the age of 25. So, that means if poor people decided not to work, they just dropped dead, while the rich people got to relax and live comfortably with all the time in the world.

Justin Timberlake’s character Will Salas was one of the poor folk who woke up everyday with only 23 hours on his wrist. If he didn’t hustle to work everyday,he,well, you know, would drop dead. However, this kind of living, soon, came to an end for him when he rescued a man named Henry Hamilton from getting robbed of a century worth of time.

Henry, apparently, had a death wish, and decided to give up all his time to Will as a “thank you” gift. Now,with all the time in the world on his hands, Will decided to live the good life, and head to the upper parts of town. Unfortunately, those set off warning signals for a time keeper police officer named Raymond (Cillian Murphy).

Raymond and his team tracked down Will, thinking he stole the time from Henry. They take back all the time Henry gave him, causing him to fight back by kidnapping Sylvia Weis (Amanda Seyfried) who was the daughter of a very rich man. Now on the run, Will puts Sylvia’s life in danger. Almost all the time she has left, ends up getting stolen,so she’s forced to get a taste of what the bad life is like, living day to day,not knowing where her time would come from.

However, something interesting happens, she starts to like Will and eventually helps him put a dent in the whole time system by stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Kind of like a modern-day Robin Hood. Some of the action scenes feature Sylvia and Will robbing banks, rich people, and even Sylvia’s own father to cause a huge disruption in the system.

It capped off with Will and Sylvia continuing their bold ways, suggesting a sequel is possible if the studios decided they want to do one. I doubt they will, though. It doesn’t seem like the sequel type of movie, but who knows?

I enjoyed watching the movie. It held my attention the entire time. I thought Justin Timberlake did a good job in his first action gig,and I always enjoy watching cute, little Amanda Seyfried do her thing. I gave the movie a solid B+ grade.
