New Dredd 3D movie delivered tons of wicked action,drama & more. Lionsgate released their new,hardcore action flick “Dredd 3D” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thoroughly enjoyed it. It totally delivered some crazy,wicked action,and more. It stars: Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, and Lena Headey.
In the new flick,character Judge Dredd takes a new,psychic,rookie Judge Cassandra Anderson out on an assignment to evaluate whether or not she has what it takes to be an official Judge. They respond to a triple homicide that occurred at the hands of a very vicious gang,led by drug lord character Madeline Madrigal also known as Ma-Ma.
Eventually, Judge Dredd and Cassandra capture one of Ma-Ma’s men named Kay to take him in for questioning,because he has all the information on Ma-Ma’s plans. Unfortunately, this prompts Ma-Ma to take extreme action by putting the whole Peach Trees center on lockdown,so that no one could leave the building ,including the Judges, in an attempt to kill the Judges.
From this point, the action kicked into overdrive as the two Judges battled it out to save their lives against all of Ma-Ma’s men. The action was really intense as it featured tons of gunfight scenes,combat,and more. Mostly, there was just a lot of shooting. They also threw in some twists to make it even more interesting.
It all led to a great conclusion where Ma-Ma totally got the punishment she deserved. Again, the movie was highly entertaining,and never had a dull moment. It was highly intense throughout. Olivia Thirlby did a great job as the rookie Judge Cassandra,an it was nice to see her character grow and mature into a major force throughout the movie. I gave it a solid B+ grade.
