New Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Movie Delivered Great Action,Drama & More

20th Century FOX released their new Sci-Fi/thriller flick, “Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was highly entertaining, delivering a ton of hardcore action, drama, twists, and more. The movie stars: Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, and Judy Greer.

In the new flick, the plotline starts off in 2018 in the wake of the ALZ-113 virus ,causing the collapse of human civilization. Ten years later, Caesar is leading and governing a new generation of apes in a community located in the Muir Woods. Things seem to be going great for Caesar and his ape clan. However, that doesn’t last long when a group of humans, wondering through the woods, shoots and wounds Ash out of fear.

Not wanting to start a war with humans, Caesar just tells the humans to go and never come back. However, human Malcolm ends up returning as the humans need to use a generator that’s located in a dam close to where the Apes reside, to restore power so they can make contact with the outside world. Eventually, Malcolm makes an agreement with Caesar to use the dam in exchange for letting the apes destroy all their guns.

Unfortunately, an extremely ugly and evil ape, named Koba, had a problem with this and eventually ends up, shooting Caesar in an effort to take over the ape clan and lead an attack against the rest of the humans. Koba proceeds to lead all the apes in an all-out war with the rest of the humans. Meanwhile, Malcolm and the others, locate wounded Caesar and get him back to health so he can go back and clean up the huge mess that Koba created.

It concludes with a major showdown between Caesar and Koba, and definitely leaves things open for yet another sequel. Again, I thought the movie was extremely entertaining for the entire run time with tons of high intense drama, action, and more. I gave the movie a great B+ grade. Stay tuned.
