Riverdale’s Cole Sprouse Talked Possible Real Life Romance With Lili Reinhart

According to a new report from teenvogue.com, Cole Sprouse (above left) who plays character Jughead on CW’s hit drama series, “Riverdale” recently chatted with the folks over at Entertainment Weekly. During their interview,Cole addressed all the rumors going around that claim he and his co-star Lili Reinhart (above right) might be dating.

As most of you guys know, Lili plays character Betty Cooper on the show. She’s Jughead’s girlfriend, but many fans are starting to think they might be dating in real life. Apparently, there’s been a ton of rumors about them possibly dating in real life ever since they were seen hanging out together in Vancouver where they film the show.

Currently, neither one of them has officially declared that they are actually dating in real life. During Cole’s statement about this, he said that the fans have wanted he and Lili together along with everyone else on show!

He stated, “Since the show began, people have wanted Lili and I to be together. People have wanted Lili and Camila Mendes to be together. People have wanted KJ Apa and I to be together. People have wanted every actor on this show to be in a union that they could make real.”

Cole also revealed that he’s pleased that the fans want them to be together because it means they’re doing their jobs well causing the fans to be highly engaged and into them. He said, “Truthfully, it’s very pleasing that people talk about Lili and I in that way because it means that we’re resonating so strongly that people really want that to be true.”

Cole never really admitted if he is or isn’t dating Lili in real life, but he is pleased that a lot of their fans think they are. Take that for what it’s worth. We’re sure the gossip will continue about these two.

In related news, another report from teenvogue.com reveals that Lili recently gave an interview to the folks over at Entertainment Tonight . During that interview, Lili talked about filming kissing scenes with her castmates. She said that everyone’s very comfortable with it because they’re all friends.

She stated,”I feel like it’s very comfortable at this point. I mean, it’s The CW you’re not going to get too crazy. It’s just like kissing and hugging. I think we’re all so comfortable with one another that it’s not even really a thing

If we have a kissing scene, it’s fine. We don’t really think twice about it. When new characters have to kiss, it’s a little different and you’re like, ‘Oh, OK! What this?’

But, it’s easy. We’re all friends. It would be more nerve-wracking if you had to make out with someone that you didn’t know. So, if by chance we do end up having to kiss each other, it’s fine and it doesn’t feel weird.”

Later on in the interview, they asked Lili about she and Cole Sprouse’s offset, real life relationship. She kept her answer pretty short and sweet by simply saying, “We get along quite well. We’re doing good.” So, it seems like the press is not going to get either one of them to budge on sharing more details about their real life relationship until they’re good and ready to share it.

Earlier in this same interview, Lili also talked a little more about the Betty and Jughead relationship. She revealed that the distance between them will be hard this season. Jughead will be on the Southside while Betty is on the Northside. She explained, “Jughead is on the Southside and Betty is on the Northside, and it’s inevitable that distance makes things hard.”

After that, Lili revealed that there is sort of a good side to their distance. They’re going to appreciate each other more, and express more romance and passion. She stated, “It definitely makes them appreciate one another more when they’re kind of being pulled apart by going to different schools. So, when they do get to see each other, it is really romantic and passionate.”

So, you guys should definitely prepare to see Betty and Jughead to show some next level passion at some point during this second season.

In related news, Cole recently made it clear to his “The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody” fans that we’re never ever going to see his twin brother Dylan Sprouse make an appearance on “Riverdale.” He thinks it’s a silly and super weird idea, and he also said Dylan would never do it.

In a different article from teenvogue.com, Cole said, “I wouldn’t want it. Dylan would never do it, and I think it would break fourth wall too much. A lot of my fans from the Suite Life still come up and say, ‘This would be fun! I think it would just be silly. It would be super, super weird and totally not appropriate.”

Cole went on to explain that an appearance from Dylan could actually destroy the whole world they’ve built on the show stating, “People want to see us onscreen together again and that’s fine. That’s flattering I guess. But, if it’s going to destroy the kind of world that we’ve built on Riverdale, it’s wildly inappropriate. I already got enough family to deal with here!”

Wow! So after that, I think it’s abundantly clear that anyone who wants to see an appearance from Cole’s twin brother Dylan should be working on getting over it right now.
