New ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 14, April 19, 2018 Episode 20 Storyline Teasers Revealed By ABC
Happy Friday “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. We’re back at you with another storyline teaser session for the next, new episode 20 of this current 14th season. ABC recently put out their official press release for it. As usual, we’ve got the title for it, a brief teaser description along with any guest stars and season regulars that are expected to appear.
ABC also released a new preview clip for episode 20. We’ll go over it and provide links to it. To start things off, the title for episode 20 is called, “Judgement Day.” Wow, that sounds kind of intense. ABC put the following words all caps: “A PATIENT BAKES THE DOCTORS A SPECIAL TREAT.”
It turns out that we’re going to see some pretty interesting and intense things take place in this episode. Arizona passes out some special cookies. Jackson gets very startling information thrown at him! Jo steps up her game by taking over a major surgery and more.
We’ll go ahead and start this teaser session off with the Arizona storyline. She’s going to pass out some cookies that end up having a secret ingredient that she’s unaware of. ABC’s description tells us, “During presentations on Grey Sloan Surgical Innovation Prototypes Day, Arizona shares some cookies from an appreciative patient that, unbeknownst to her, contain a special ingredient.”
What is this special ingredient? I imagine that will be the big shocker in this scenario. It certainly sounds like it could provide some really interesting scenes depending on what the special ingredient is.
The second storyline teaser reveals that Jackson and Catherine will have a new scene together. She will have some very surprising news for him. ABC’s description tells us, “Catherine reveals some shocking details to Jackson about his grandfather’s past.”
This is another scenario that could possibly yield some very interesting moments depending on exactly what this startling information is. We’ll definitely have to tune in to find out because ABC made sure not reveal any further details about it.
The third and last storyline teaser reveals that Jo is about to raise her level of value by taking over for an unconscious Meredith and Bailey! ABC’s description tells us, “Jo steps in mid-operation on a major surgery after Bailey and Meredith are down for the count.”
This particular plotline definitely sounds like it will deliver some very dramatic moments, and have Jo looking like a hero. It’ll be interesting to see how all this drama actually unfolds.
The preview clip for episode 20 directs all of the focus on those cookies with the mystery ingredient in them. A panic gets stirred up about the cookies. One person is seen saying, “We need to get the cookies back!”
All the staff who ate the cookies are seen acting very strange and weird. It’s obvious that the cookies are drugged. We suspect this is what causes Meredith and Bailey to have their little incident where Jo has to take over. The clip looks pretty wild. ABC also released a ton of promotional photos for episode 20. Arizona, Bailey, Meredith, Jo, Catherine, Jackson, Andrew, Richard, Maggie and April are all seen in a couple of these photos. April appears to be giving some sort of speech. Arizona is seen holding those special cookies and passing them out to people.
Jo is seen having a worried look and a happy look in her photos with Meredith. Jackson, Bailey, Andrew and more are seen chopping down on those cookies at some point. The guest stars that will be appearing in episode 20 are: Debbie Allen as character Catherine Avery, Stefania Spampinato as character Carina Deluca, Alex Blue Davis as character Casey Parker, Jake Borelli as character Levi Schmitt, Rushi Kota as character Vik Roy, Sophia Ali Taylor as character Dahlia Quadri and Jaicy Elliot as character Taryn Helm.
The season regulars that will be in this episode are: Ellen Pompeo as character Meredith Grey, Justin Chambers as character Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as character Miranda Bailey, James Pickens Jr. as character Richard Webber, Kevin McKidd as character Owen Hunt, Jessica Capshaw as character Arizona Robbins, Jesse Williams as character Jackson Avery, Sarah Drew as character April Kepner, Caterina Scorsone as character Amelia Shepherd, Camilla Luddington as character Jo Wilson, Kelly McCreary as character Maggie Pierce and Giacomo Gianniotti as character Andrew DeLuca.
Episode 18 was written by Julie Wong, and Sydney Freeland was brought on to direct it. It’s confirmed that episode 20 will indeed air on Thursday night, April 19, 2018 in the same 7 pm central time slot on ABC. Stay tuned.
