Celebrity Big Brother Season 2 Will Be Getting Some Extra Screen Time With Special After Dark Shows

Happy Monday, fellow Big Brother fans. We hope you guys had a great weekend. As most of you know, the big, official announcement from CBS finally came yesterday as to who the new castmembers will be for the upcoming second season of Celebrity Big brother season 2.

For those of you who didn’t get our memo, the season 2 cast is: former White House Director of Communications Anthony Scaramucci, actor Joey Lawrence, swimmer and controversial Olympic figure Ryan Lochte, Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina Lohan, former O.J. Simpson trial witness and actor Kato Kaelin, former WWE wrestler and reality show star Natalie Eva Marie, singers & reality TV personalities Tamar Braxton and Kandi Burruss, former NFL star Ricky Williams, comedian and actor Tom Green, track and bobsled star Lolo Jones, and actor Jonathan Bennett.

With that said, this new, second season of Celebrity Big Brother is getting some extra screentime. According to the folks at insidethebbhouse.com , Pop TV has again decided to include Celebrity Big Brother USA in its schedule this year. It will be titled, “Celebrity Big Brother After Dark.” The episodes are currently scheduled to start up on Tuesday night, January 22, 2019. There will be a three hour break right after episode 2 airs on that night. Then at 12 am Eastern Standard time, the Celebrity Big Brother episode will start up.

They didn’t include any information about exactly how long the after dark specials will run, but typically, they run for about 2 hours to 3 hours. Pop TV claims to be showing live footage from inside the Big Brother house during the after dark specials. However, it is believed that these episodes are in fact taped footage from earlier in the day. That may or may not be true. We don’t know. We always just watch the LIVE feeds that CBS supplies on their website.

Speaking of the live feeds, we recently got an email from CBS, letting us know that they are running another one week special for them, and that they will be available for Celebrity Big Brother this season.

That means you guys can try the live feeds out for free for one week. After that, it’s $6.95 a month until you cancel them. I just usually cancel them after Big Brother is over. If you guys want to try out the live feeds for free, you can do so over at CBS by Clicking Here. The live feeds trial also allows you to view a bunch of other special CBS shows on demand.

As previously reported, even though the televised premiere doesn’t start until Monday night, January 21, 2019. The celebrities have already entered the house today, January 14, 2019, and they are busy playing the game as we speak!

It’s like this every year for both Celebrity Big Brother and regular Big Brother. This allows the production crew enough time to tape enough footage for the actual TV show , which is just a bunch of taped footage with the exception of the LIVE eviction shows.

Our beloved, long time host Julie Chen is back after experiencing a very bumpy year when her husband Les Moonves was fired as the CEO of programming due to some serious sexual harassment allegations. We hope that Julie will continue to keep hosting Big Brother for many more years to come. It just wouldn’t be the same with out her.

Anyways, so if any of you guys have Pop TV, you should be set to watch their special Celebrity Big Brother After Dark specials this season. Celebrity Big Brother season 2 is scheduled to last until Wednesday night, February 13, 2019. It’s going to end with a huge two-hour season finale.

Coincidentally, the season premiere will last for two hours as well. So, we’ve got a big couple of weeks coming up. Get ready guys and stay tuned.
