Hey, Disney World fans. We’ve got some pretty exciting news for you guys in regards to the famous Disney World Epcot Center. It turns out that a major upgrade has been scheduled to take place for the facility. The upgrades will feature a lot of new attractions such as interactive games, a play pavilion , a reimagined entrance and so on and so forth.

According to the folks over at USA Today, Disney World recently put out a new press release that revealed their new plans for Epcot. The plans entailed adding a new play pavilion, a reimagined main entrance and an Experience Center showcasing the park’s future.

The play pavillion is supposed to be located under the park’s Wonder Of Life dome. It promises to deliver an interactive city that’s filled with games and hands-on activities. The main entrance for Epcot will reportedly be updated with new pathways, green spaces and a re-designed fountain.

The Odyssey Events Pavilion is adding something called the Experience Center. It’s supposed to give visitors a chance to see all the future plans that the park will offer via interactive exhibits.

He stated, “This innovative, new pavilion is beyond anything we’ve ever created and is completely unique to Epcot. Built on the power of play, it introduces an immersive and interactive ‘city’ where you can explore, create, and interact with some of your favorite Disney characters. This is an experience worthy of our bold vision for Epcot and another signature element of our transformation.”

Simplemost.com pointed out that Disney World hasn’t set an exact date for the completion of the new Epcot makeover. However, it’s believed that it could be done in time for the upcoming Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary in 2021.

Some additions to the Epcot entrance will include a new design and restored fountain. It promises to “pay homage to the original park entrance with fresh takes on classic elements.”

Simplemost pointed out some extra details about the Experience Center. Apparently, visitors will be able to use this center later on this year to get a glimpse of what all the new Epcot changes will look like. The interactive exhibits to help visitors visualize how the new Epcot will look and feel.

Some other previously announced Disney World attractions include a “Ratatouille” dark ride, a “Guardians of the Galaxy” roller coaster at the World Showcase, a “Beauty and the Beast” sing along at the France pavilion and a new night time event at the World Showcase Lagoon.
