The Voice Eliminated Oliv, Jej , Celia, Mari & LB Crew Tonight, May 7, 2019

Hey, “The Voice” fans. Tonight, May 7, 2019 was the big night where we found out who survived this week to move on to the top 8. That’s right, guys. Five contestants were indeed eliminated tonight, and we’re about to go over how it all went down because it wasn’t so straight forward. Apparently, three singers had to participate in a sing-off and so on and so forth. You know how The Voice does it. They’re always trying to keep things confusing. I mean fresh.

Anyways, with that said, all the judges/coaches: Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend were, of course, on hand.

To get things started, they revealed that Maelyn Jarmon was the most streamed artist out of last night’s performances. After that, host Carson Daly got right down to business. He revealed that Maelyn Jarmon from Team John Legend and Dexter Roberts from Team Blake were safe this week and advancing to the final 8.

Next, Celia, Maelyn, Shawn and John Legend hit up the stage to sing, “I Say a Little Prayer.” Right after that, Carson revealed that Gyth Rigdon from Team Blake, Rod Stokes from Team Kelly and Shawn Sounds from Team John Legend were all safe and advancing through to next week.

Next, they revealed that they’re bringing back duet performances next week with songs by the legendary band, “The Beatles.” After that, Carson revealed that Carter Lloyd from Team Blake and Andrew Sevener from Team Blake were safe this week. So, they will be moving on to the final 8 as well. That was it for America’s vote from last night. From here, three artists had to do a sing-off for an instant Twitter “save”

Before they did that, Team Blake hit the stage to sing, “I got my mind set on you.” Right after that, they revealed the artists that got to sing for the instant Twitter “save.” They were: LB Crew from Team Adam. Mari from Team Adam and Kim Cherry from Team Blake.

That meant poor: Oliv Blu, Jej Vinson, and Celia Babini were instantly eliminated at this point for being the bottom three vote-getters out of all the top 13 contestants from last night.

Next, Kim Cherry from Team Blake hit the stage to sing her song for the Twitter instant “save.” She sang, “No You’re Never Gonna Get It.” Afterwards, Blake told Kim, “I can’t believe you’re even in the Twitter save. You owned the moment and embraced it. I pray you get voted through. You need to be here.”

Next, Mari from Team Adam hit the stage to sing, “Latch.”Afterwards, Adam told Mari, “That performance should be enough for you to move on, but your performances always are.” He went on to say, “America should have never let this happen. This girl deserves to go through. I’m in shock and don’t understand.”

Lastly, LB Crew from Team Adam hit up the stage to sing, “Better.” Afterwards, Adam told LB,” You’re an unbelievable artist. I want to see you and Mari both move on.”

After all that, host Carson Daly finally revealed that Kim Cherry from Team Blake Shelton won the Twitter instant “save,” putting her in the top 8! Unfortunately, that also meant Team Adam’s Mari and LB Crew were eliminated.

So, your five eliminated “The Voice” contestants tonight are: Oliv Blu, Jej Vinson, Celia Babini, Mari and LB Crew.

The top 8 contestants you’ll see perform next week are: Maelyn Jarmon, Dexter Roberts, Gyth Rigdon, Rod Stokes, Shawn Sounds, Carter Lloyd, Andrew Sevener and Kim Cherry.
