America’s Got Talent May 28, 2019 Auditions Revealed ( Premiere Episode 1 Recap)
Hey, “America’s Got Talent” fans. Tonight, May 28, 2019, was the big night that the brand new 14th season premiered on NBC. There was some new judges on the panel: actress and dancer Julianne Hough and actress Gabrielle Union. They joined previous judges Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel. They also brought on a new host: actor Terry Crews.
The very first act to hit the stage was a 60 year old comedian/impressionist Greg Morton. He mimicked voices from a Star Wars movie. The crowd loved it. Afterwards, Howie said, “I can’t believe there isn’t a banner in Vegas with your headline on it.” Gabrielle said “This is your turn.” Julianne said, “I would buy a ticket to your show right now.” Simon said, “It was a very special moment.” He got a yes from all the four judges.
Next up, was my personal favorite. 26 year old magician Eric Chien. His act was incredible. He made cards disappear and reappear right in his freaking hands. He also turned them into coins. He made them change colors right in front of our eyes. At one pint, he made one of the cards halfway disappear, and then he restored it. It was absolutely amazing! He’s definitely one to watch to possibly win this season.
Afterwards, Howie told Greg, “I liked your sincerity.” Gabrielle said, “Magic. You are amazing.” Julianne said, “You don’t have to compare yourself to anyone.” Simon said,”It was a different level, and you’re one of the best we’ve ever had.” He, of course, got a yes from all the four judges.
Next, Sophie Pecora hit the stage to sing an original song. She is a Youtube singing star. The crowd and the judges loved her. She sounded very unique and deep for a 15 year old. The chorus to her song is, “Torn down in the 7th grade.”
After her performance, Gabrielle told Sophie,”You spoke to me, and I’m 46. You held us all captive.” Howie said, “You’re unique, but really relatable.” Julianne said, “Your music is truth, which is why it resonated.” Simon said, “I liked your cool delivery.” She got a yes from all the 4 judges.
Next, they showed a segment of how cute Julianne Hough was. Apparently, she was very nervous to buzz people off the stage at first, but she eventually got the hang of it as they showed a series of very bad acts. She even started hitting other judge’s buzzers!
After that segment, a dancer named Patrizio Ratto hit the stage. He started his act off by playing the piano. However, ended up bursting into an incredible dance routine that won over the crowd.
Afterwards, Julianne commented on his dancing saying, “You put your dance moves together so well.” Gabrielle said he was sexy. Howie said, “It was a seamless mixture of disparate art forms.” Simon said, “Without people like you, we don’t have a show.” He got 4 yeses from the judges.
Next, a dancing group from India named,”V.Unbeatable” hit the stage. They performed an incredible-looking dance routine that featured tons of acrobatics and hip hop moves. The crowd and the judges loved it.
Afterwards, Gabrielle told them,”You guys blew us all away.”Julianne said, “It was brilliant and history in the making.” Howie said, “I think you just made your future.” Simon said, “You’re one of the best dance acts we’ve ever had on one of these shows.” They got 4 yeses from the judges.
A 47 year old female comedian named Jackie Fabulous arrived on stage next. She performed a great stand-up routine that both the crowd and the judges loved. Afterwards, Gabrielle told Jackie, “Way to go.” Simon said, “Thank God for you. You are hilarious. I want to hang out with you.” He even walked up on stage and gave her a kiss at one point. Julianne said, “It was naughty and fabulous.” Howie said, “You’re a superstar.” She received 4 yeses from the judges.
Next up, was an act that goes by the name Ginzilla. He was guy dressed up as a woman. He ended up singing, “She’s a lady” with his very manly voice. The crowd loved it. Afterwards, Howie told Ginzilla, “You could go really far.” Julianne said, “I see you in Vegas.” Simon said, “It was fantastic.” Gabrielle said, “You should get used to this kind of reaction.” He got 4 yeses from the judges.
After all of that, a guy named Bryan Miser hit the stage. He works with his wife and calls himself the “Human Fuze.” It was danger act which was performed outside. He ended up shooting himself 110 feet through the air while being lit on fire! Then he landed on a huge safety bubble where his fire was put out by fire extinguishers.
Afterwards, Howie said it was thrilling. Gabrielle said, “You wowed the audience.” Julianne said, “It was ridiculously amazing.” Simon said, “Where do you go, next?” That was a good point. Anyways, he got 4 yeses from the judges.
The last act of tonight’s premiere episode was Kodie Lee. He’s a 22 year old singer and piano player. His mother was there to help him out because he’s blind and autistic. He ended up sing,”A Song for You,” and it was like a totally different person took over his body and started singing! The crowd and the judges loved it.
Afterwards, Howie told Kodie, “You’re a great inspiration and talent.” Julianne said, “I felt your heart and passion. I heard you and I felt you.” Simon said, “It was extraordinary and your voice is fantastic.” Gabrielle said, “I’m a new judge and a new mom. So, I can relate.” She ended up giving Kodie the “Golden Buzzer!” That means Kodie will go straight to the LIVE shows.
