‘America’s Got Talent’ June 30, 2020 Round 6 Auditions Revealed (Recap)

Hey, “America’s Got Talent” fans. Tonight, June 30, 2020, another new episode did indeed air. It featured more early auditions. This was the 6th round of early auditions.

All the judges: Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara were on hand. Judge Heidi Klum was still out with her mystery sickness. So, Sofia’s Modern Family castmate Eric Stonestreet was back again to fill Heidi’s spot.

There was no crowd for this episode due to the awful pandemic. The first act to take the stage in this episode was Cheer Athletics Wildcats. They are a cheerleading group. They performed one of those high-flying, acrobatic type routines that you always see from these types of groups.

Afterwards, Sofia said, “I liked your joy and precision.” Howie said, “Cheerleading is entertaining and more dangerous than the sports you cheer for.” Simon said, “I can see the ambition in every one of your eyes.” Cheer Athletics Wildcats got a yes from all four of the judges. So, they’re through to the next round.


Jacob Velazquez was up next. He’s an 11 year old pianist and drummer. During his performance, he played the piano first. Then he played a very upbeat routine on the drums. The judges loved it.

Afterwards, Sofia said, “You’re inspiring and surprising. It was beautiful.” Howie said, “You’re like boythoven.” Eric said, “Your musicianship is amazing.” Simon said, “I think you’re going to inspire people. This is one of my favorite auditions of this season.” Jacob got a yes from all four judges.

Michael Yo hit the stage next. He’s a comedian. He previously worked in the entertainment industry as celebrity interviewer. He delivered a pretty strong stand up performance. The judges liked it enough.

Afterwards,Howie said, “You made the right choice.” Simon said, “It was fantastic.” Eric said, “You’re hilarious.” Sofia said, “I’d hug you, but there’s a virus going around.” Michael got a yes from all four judges.

Next up was Brother’s Gage. They are harmonica players. However, they did say they play other instruments as well. They are 15 and 17 year old brothers. They did a very lively and upbeat, harmonica performance to an original track.

Afterwards, Sofia said, “I was dreading the act at first, but you turned me around.” Simon said, “You’re amazing, and you have a super strong likability factor.” Eric said, “The sky’s the limit for you.” Howie said, “It was entertaining. It was wonderful.” The Brother’s Gage got a yes from all four of the judges.

Shevon Nieto arrived on stage next. She’s a 37 year old singer. Before that, she was an Olympic track and field athlete. She sang an original song she wrote for her husband that was paralyzed during a track and field, high jump accident.

Afterwards, Howie said, “You’re living that song. It was wonderful and real.” Eric said, “It was amazing.” Sofia said, “I think you’re beautiful and amazing, and I love your voice.” Simon said, “Your story is so powerful. It is an absolute pleasure and honor to meet you. I absolutely loved your voice.” Shevon got a yes from all four judges.

Rob “The Marquis” Messel was up next. He plays air guitar. His performance didn’t go over very well. All four judges buzzed him off the stage.

Next, was Elijah. He’s a 14 year old Cellist. He played a very lively cello routine for his performance. The judges really got into it.

Afterwards, Sofia said, “You look like you were having the best time.” Howie said, “I loved watching your joy up there.” Eric said, “You totally relaxed me with your enthusiasm.” Simon said, “I actually didn’t like the track for that song, but I think you have a lot of potential. You have great charisma.” Elijah got a yes from all four judges.

Anthem and Aria were up next. They are magicians or so they claimed. During their performance, they actually started singing! Then they tried to do magic at the same time. It was bad magic too.

They started getting buzzed by the judges Simon, Sofia and Howie. Afterwards, Eric said, “I need more magic.” Sofia said, “I didn’t like the singing.” Simon said, “It was corny.” They got a no from all four judges.

Jim & John hit the stage next. They are an acrobatic duo from Berlin. They got buzzed by Sofia and Simon during their performance and received a no from all four judges.

Kenadi Dodds arrived on stage next. She’s a 15 year old singer. During her performance, she sang an original song called, “Ticket to Tennessee.” She delivered a very powerful performance.

Afterwards, Simon said, “You’re a little firecracker. I like your style , and I like that you know what lane you want to go down.” Howie said, “There’s a certain transformation that takes place when you start singing.” Sofia said, “I love your country look, and that you play the guitar.” Kenadi got a yes from all four judges.

Vadim Savenkov hit the stage next. He’s a magician. He tried to sing and do magic tricks while dressed in plastic outfits. It didn’t go over well at all. The judges totally buzzed him, and he got a no from all four judges.

Crystal Powell was up next. She’s a comedian. She did a routine about racial stereotypes. It went over well with the judges.

Afterwards, Simon said, “I love you. You’re just naturally funny.” Howie said, “You make people smile.” Eric said, “It was different and unique.” Crystal got a yes from all four judges.

At this time, Eric left. So, they just had three judges. Wesley Williams was the next act up. He’s a unicyclist. Simon pointed out that he new Wesley from Britain’s Got Talent.

Wesley performed a very lively performance with amazing stunts. Afterwards, Simon said, “I felt it could’ve gone horribly wrong at any time. Wesley ended up getting a yes from all three judges.

Brandon Leake was the last act to hit the stage for tonight’s episode. He’s a spoken word poet. During his performance, he delivered a very powerful message about love and so on and so forth.

Afterwards, Sofia said, “I had a brother that passed away the same year as your sister.” Simon said, “It was an amazing tribute.” Howie said, “I was so moved by that.” Then Howie hit the golden buzzer! That means Brandon made it straight through to the LIVE shows!
