‘America’s Got Talent’ June 25, 2019 Auditions Revealed (Episode 5 Recap)

Hey, “America’s Got Talent” fans. Tonight, June 25, 2019, the 5th episode of this 14 season did indeed air. All the four judges: Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union, Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel were, of course, on hand to criticize everyone.

Tonight’s episode featured more auditions. It kicked off with Nick & Lindsay. They are operatic knife throwers and a married couple. Their act consisted of dangerous knife throwing feats.

Afterwards, Howie told them, “I like you.” Gabrielle said, “I love you. For every wife who wants to throw sharp things at her husband, I thank you.” Julianne said, “I get it. This is why he fell in love with you.” Simon said, “You’re a bad singer.” Nick and Lindsey eventually got 4 yeses from the judges. So, they’re on to the next round.

Next up, was Izzy and Easton. They are a Contemporary kid dance duo. Izzy is 11 years old and Easton is 14 years old. After their performance, Gabrielle told them “It was masterful and powerful.” Howie said, “I appreciate your intensity.” Julianne said “You absolutely crushed it. We have a lot to learn from you two.” Simon said, “You’re both fantastic.” Izzy and Easton got 4 yeses from the judges.

A male soul singer named Lamont Landers arrived on stage next. He’s from Alabama and previously performed on FOX’s Showtime at the Apollo. That’s a tough crowd too. He ended up singing, “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. However, he got into it a little bit with Simon, and eventually ended up singing a totally different song, and he got a standing ovation.

Afterwards, Julianne told Lamont, “I compare you to an egg that we’re cracking open slowly.” Howie said, “I feel you stepped it up 10 levels.” Gabrielle said, “You blew us all away.” Simon said, “You have a fear of failure, and the door just opened for you a little.” Lamont got 4 yeses from the judges.

Next, a comedian that names himself “Death” hit the stage. He tried to tell a bunch of death themed jokes that didn’t go over well at all. He immediately got buzzed by Simon. The other judges soon followed suit. So, Death got 4 nos from the judges. Goodbye Death.

After that, the Ndlovu Youth Choir arrived on stage. They are from Moutse, Limpopo South Africa. They ended up singing a song called, “Our African Dream.”

Afterwards, Gabrielle told them, “This whole place was rooting for you, and you did not disappoint.” Julianne said, “I felt their authenticity and joy. You transported us.” Howie said, “I love the color, and I love the sound.” Simon said, “I’ve always been waiting for a choir like you. This was a great audition.” They got 4 yeses from the judges.

Next, a virtual reality act named Phobia vR hit the stage. They claimed to help people get over their fears using virtual reality. They used Howie as a prop since he has a fear of heights.

Afterwards, Howie told them, “I was terrified, but it was enveloping. And as a supporter of mental health, I’m impressed.” Gabrielle said, “I was on the edge of my seat.” Julianne said, “It was so much fun.” Simon said, ” It was cool and entertaining. It was even better seeing Howie look silly.” They got 4 yeses from the judges.

A young singer named Emmane Beasha arrived on stage. She’s 10 years old. She previously won Arabs Got Talent season 5. She’s an opera singer.

After her performance, Juliann told Emmane, “How does that voice come out of that little body.” Simon said, “You’re absolutely fantastic.” Gabrielle said, “You’re a star.” Julianne said, “You’re mesmerizing and captivating. Don’t ever lose your great confidence.” Emmane got 4 yeses from the judges.

Next, another dog act, Lukas and Falco, hit the stage. Falco is the dog and Lukas is a 22 year old man. After their performance, Howie said, “I loved it.” Julianne said, “It was energetic.” Simon said, “The dogs have great personality.” Lukas and Falco got 4 yeses from the judges.

A Ukrainian dance troupe named Verba Shadow arrived on stage. Their routine consisted of special effects and silhouettes.

Afterwards, Gabrielle told them, “It was achingly beautiful and haunting.” Julianne said, “It was an absolute treat.” Howie said, “It was beautiful and disturbing at the same time.” Simon said, “It was seamless.” They got 4 yeses from the judges.

Finally, we saw a dancer named Ben Trigger hit the stage. During his routine, he started off delivering awful dance moves, but he was lively and funny. So, the crowd took to him. Then he eventually stripped off his clothes to reveal he was wearing nothing but pasties and a women’s leotard outfit.

It was very disturbing yet quite funny at the same time. The crowd and the judges couldn’t help but laugh. Ben also eventually started dancing all up on the judges, and he capped off his performance by ringing the golden buzzer on himself. Of course, they told him he can’t do that afterwards.

Also, Julianne told Ben, “You have some serious moves.” Howie said, “It’s my favorite golden buzzer moment.” Simon said, “You’re hilarious.” As crazy as it is, Ben got 4 yeses from the judges. Hell has truly frozen over.
