New ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10 Premiere Date Officially Revealed By AMC

New ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10 Premiere Date Officially Revealed By AMC

Hey,”The Walking Dead” fans. We are back at you with some very glorious news. It’s officially time to find out when your favorite show will hit the airwaves again with all new season 10 episodes.

The official season 10 premiere date was recently announced by AMC on their official Twitter account. So, we can now officially let you guys know when it’s happening!

With no further ado, the brand new season 10 is officially scheduled to debut on Sunday night, October 6, 2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time on AMC of course. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your TV show calendars.

Currently, it is not yet known how many episodes season 10 will feature. We do know the first half of the season will indeed have another 8 episodes. Beyond that, we don’t know. If we had to guess, we would say that season 10 will ,more than likely, feature another 16 episodes in total. Again, we’ll have to wait and see to be sure.

Based on the show’s season 9 ratings, we wouldn’t be surprised if AMC ordered up another 16 episodes. However, we also wouldn’t be surprised if they ordered a little less. The show’s ratings did dip quite a bit in season 9, and we’re hearing that the season 9 finale’s ratings were the lowest they have ever been.

With all that said, The Walking Dead is still a very strong ratings and viewership winner for AMC, especially for a cable show. I mean this show brings in network TV type numbers. Season 9 averaged 4.950 million LIVE viewers per episode and a 1.88 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.

The season 9 finale that aired back on March 31, 2019 brought in 5.019 million LIVE viewers, and it scored a 1.86 ratings score. Those are still very strong numbers for AMC if not one of the best.

As for season 10 spoilers, there’s quite a few out there. According to Entertainment Weekly, character Dante from The Walking Dead comic book will be appearing in the new season 10.

Also, the producers are working on getting actress Lauren Cohen back to reprise her role as Maggie. They’ll probably be able to do it since Lauren’s new show “Whiskey Cavalier” recently got canceled after the first season.

One of the Walking Dead showrunners Angela Kang told Entertainment Weekly that season 10 will feature a bit of a timeline jump from the season 9 finale episode. She said time will probably move ahead a few months. She also said a few things will have changed with Rosita and some of the other people.

Angela explained, “I feel like we mark time on the show based on the children. So, we saw Rosita pretty heavily pregnant at the end of last year, and I’ll say that that state has changed.

A little time has passed. They’ve been living with some of the Whisperers’ rules, and we’ll see that some things have changed and some people have done some unexpected things in the time that has passed to deal with the trauma at the end of last season.”

Angela revealed that they will also be dealing with a lot of trauma symptoms such as memory breaking, PTSD, illusions. They’re also working on some new battle scenes that will be unlike anything they’ve ever done on the show.

They will be showing more of the Whisperers’ side of the story in season 10. There’s going to be some interesting backstory on them along with more insight into a few characters in that whole group.

Angela explained of the Whisperers’ season 10 plotlines, “We’ll be telling more of their side of the story in season 10. We will get some interesting backstory, and some more insight into some more characters within that group.

We will learn more about Alpha and Beta. They’ve got their own problems, too, within their group. So, there will be some interesting back-and-forth between our two groups as they deal with this conflict at the border.”

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for the season 10 outlook for now. Are you excited for the new season or what? Let us know in the comments section.

Again, season 10 is scheduled to premiere on Sunday night, October 6, 2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time on AMC.
