Big Brother August 8, 2019 Evicted Jack Matthews, New HOH Revealed (Recap)

Hey, fellow “Big Brother” fans. Tonight, August 8, 2019, another LIVE eviction show for this current season 21 did indeed air, and it sent another unlucky houseguest packing. Tonight’s eviction episode kicked off with footage of what happened after the reigning HOH and POV (Power Of Veto) winner Jessica decided not to use the veto at the POV (Power Of Veto) ceremony.

Jessica said her target was definitely Jack, and she’s confident he’s going home. At one point, they showed Jackson’s punishment that he incurred during the POV comp. He had to perform messy alien autopsies for 24 hours.

They basically just bombed Jackson with slime for 24 hours. They woke him up in the middle of the night, while he was taking a shower and so on and so forth. They really did a number on poor Jackson.

They showed Jack’s punishment from the veto comp. He got heckled and tortured by a man in an alien costume for 24 hours. The guy poured milk and food on Jack’s face and head at one point. He yelled into his ears nonstop. They really did a number on Jack as well.

They showed footage of Jackson saying, “I will never campaign against Jack.” We saw footage of the now-defunct Six Shooters alliance: Christie, Holly, Jackson, Jack, Tommy and Analyse having a big make-up talk over their major fight from last week.

Jackson and Jack ended up walking out on this make up session. So, it didn’t turn out to be the best make up session.

Next, they showed footage of Jack definitely trying to campaign to stay over Jackson. He tried to get Nick and Cliff’s votes. Jack offered to be Cliff’s shield for the next 4 evictions. Cliff told the diary room cams that Jack’s deal sounded pretty good.

After all that footage, we finally saw the two eviction nominees Jack and Jackson give their plea speeches. Then the other houseguests casts their votes to evict.

Holly,Nicole,Cliff,Nick,Tommy and Kathryn all voted to evict Jack. Analyse and Christie voted to evict Jackson. So, with a vote of 6-2, Jack did indeed get evicted from the Big Brother season 21 house tonight.

Afterwards, Jack gave his exit interview with host Julie Chen Moonves. During it, Julie really called Jack out on the awful comments he said about Kemi when he was in the house. Heck, they even went as far as to play the clips of Jack saying the comments.

Afterwards,Jack was given the opportunity to explain his actions. He apologized for the words he used. Apparently, he had said he wanted to stomp a mud hole through Kemi’s chest at one point.

He said he didn’t really mean it the way it came off. It was more in jest, but he wished he would have used different words or something. He basically just tried to explain it all away. There was also a comment he said about Bella and rice pudding.

Some people thought it might be racist. Jack said it was not. He only said that because they were doing something with actual rice pudding earlier that day. Again, Jack just explained everything away.

After all of that, the remaining houseguests competed for the new HOH (Head Of Household) competition. It was a physical comp that involved the houseguests rowing a fake boat down some apparatus.

The one who got closest to doing it in 10 seconds without going over 10 seconds, won. Tommy ended up winning it. So,Tommy is the new HOH for this week. Who will he nominate? Who’s in danger? Those are the big questions that loom over us now.

We will find out tomorrow when Tommy has to nominate two people for eviction. Stay tuned for our report on that.

How do you guys feel about Jack getting evicted tonight and Tommy winning HOH? Are you happy about it? Are you sad? Or do you just not care one way or the other? Let us know in the comments section.
