Survivor September 25, 2019 Voted Off Ronnie Bardah (Recap)

Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, September 25, 2019, the premiere episode of this 39th season did indeed air, and a unlucky person was indeed voted off at the end of it.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with a segment that featured past winners/legends Boston Rob Mariano and Sandra Diaz-Twine revealing they will be mentors to the contestants this season, and they will not have a chance to win the game or the $1 million dollars.

Next, the entire cast was seen arriving to the island. They immediately started building a shelter. Then they introduced themselves to each other. Janet immediately impressed everyone by making a fire.

Vince, Tom and Elaine decided to group up together. Some of the others noticed and started to target them.

Jason already started searching for an idol. Everyone noticed it too. Dan made a big deal about it. Dan told the private cams, “Jason is done.”

Tommy said he did a good job connecting with everyone. Jason’s name ,again, came up as being the person that’s on the outs. However, Noura didn’t feel that way. She said she actually wanted to work with Jason. So, she warned Jason that his name was being brought up as a possible target.

Missy expressed that she wanted to form an all-girl alliance. Dan started to annoy Kellee with his touchy, feely ways. Molly also mentioned concerns about Dan. Kellee eventually told Dan he needed to chill with the touching. He seemed to understand.

Ronnie pulled Elaine aside to talk privately. Elaine told the private cams, “I don’t trust Ronnie. He’s got to go.” So, it’s safe to say that Ronnie didn’t set a good first impression with Elaine.

After that, we finally saw host Jeff Probst show up on the scene to greet all the contestants and to present them with their first tribal immunity challenge. The two tribes were named Vokai and Lairo.

During the immunity challenge, they had to make it through an obstacle course. Then complete a puzzle for the win. It was revealed that they are also playing for a reward, which was flint. The Vokai tribe won immunity. So, the Lairo tribe had to figure out which person they wanted to send packing first.

In the meantime, Jeff Probst told them, “Island of The Idols is real, and that one of them is going their right now. The first person’s name that is drawn from this bag, is going there.”

Elizabeth’s name was drawn. Jeff said Elizabeth will return and be be back to vote at the tribal council meeting. Elizabeth didn’t like this at all because she thought it would put a target on her back.

Next, they showed footage of Elizabeth on Island of The Idols. Boston Rob and Sandra greeted her to explain what’s going on. They explained they were there to mentor her and test her on everything she learned. Rob and Sandra taught Elizabeth how to make fire.

Afterwards, Rob presented Elizabeth with a challenge. The challenge consisted of her engaging in a fire making competition against Rob.

If Elizabeth won, she would get an immunity idol for the next 2 tribal councils. If she lost, she loses her vote at this tribal council. The third option was that she could just refuse the challenge and return as if nothing ever happened.

Elizabeth decided to take the challenge. Rob, of course, beat her very quickly. So, she lost a vote at this tribal council. Rob told her to let this be a lesson to not jump at the first tempting offer that’s presented to her. To cap this segment off, Elizabeth got to pick who the next person to visit Island of The Idols.

Back at the Lairo camp, Ronnie’s name was brought up as a target. Elaine’s name came up as a target as well.

Elaine confronted Aaron, Tom and Ronnie about why they were bringing her name up for a target. Then she tried to make a deal with them to vote out whoever they want. They made it seem like she had made a deal, but Elaine was still very doubtful.

Elizabeth lied to the others about what goes on at Island Of The Idols. Vince’s name came up as a target after Elaine confronted Aaron.

Next, they showed Tribal council footage. Elaine brought up that she’s in danger for being likable and made a big fuss about it. She even teared up and made a big speech. Vince said some things and teared up too. This was very emotional for a first tribal council meeting.

After all the votes were counted, it was revealed that Ronnie got 6 votes to leave, and Vince got 2 votes. So, with a whopping 6 votes, Ronnie Bardah got voted off in a very heavy blindside situation.
