‘Supergirl’ Season 5, December 15, 2019 Episode 10 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “Supergirl” fans. It is with great sadness that we must inform you that your favorite superhero drama Supergirl will be MIA (Missing In Action) tonight, December 15, 2019. Yep, it’s very true, guys.
The CW will not be airing it because the show is on a Fall break/hiatus right now. Luckily, we were able to fish up a premiere date for episode 10.
It’s currently scheduled to hit the airwaves on Sunday night, January 19, 2020 in its same 7 pm central standard time slot on The CW of course. So, definitely lock that very important date into your mind or write it down somewhere.
So, what is The CW airing in place of Supergirl tonight? According to the TV Guide listings, The CW is currently in holiday specials mode.
They will be airing a Christmas reality show/competition called, “THE CHRISTMAS CAROLER CHALLENGE.” It’s the premiere episode 1 of its first season. The episode is called, “The Auditions Part 1.”
The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “Series premiere of a Christmas caroling competition featuring 12 Christmas carol groups, each with their own stylized brand of performance.”
Then next Sunday night, December 22, 2019, The CW is going to air “THE CHRISTMAS CAROLER CHALLENGE” again in the 7 pm central standard time slot. This time, they will air the 3rd episode of its first season. It’s titled, “The Top Ten.”
The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “This Christmas caroling competition series featuring 12 extraordinary Christmas carol groups, each with their own stylized brand of performance, in celebrating the great Christmas music we have all come to love.
We’ll meet these groups from the most elaborate ultra-traditional virtuoso performances to those with the most unexpected twists on the classic Christmas carol. Each group which will be judged by three celebrity judges.”
After those two dates, it’s a mystery what the CW will serve up in Supergirl’s 7 pm central standard time slot. The TV Guide listings don’t list beyond the immediate two weeks.
Anyways, if the replacement shows sound enticing to you, you might still want to watch The CW on those nights. If not, you know what to do. Find something else to watch or do until January 19, 2020.
Currently, we only have an official title for episode 10. It’s called, “The Bottle Episode.” We’re actually surprised that The CW didn’t at least serve up a new preview clip for episode 10 yet. They usually get those up right away.
Anyways, we’re going to go over the current ratings and viewership numbers for Supergirl’s current 5th season.
It’s currently averaging 1.006 million LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.28 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The last episode 9, which was apart of the big Crisis On Infinite Earths plotline, brought in 1.668 million LIVE viewers and a 0.65 ratings score. So, that was definitely a huge storyline for this series.
I would say those numbers look pretty strong for a CW show. We currently do have confirmation that The CW has already renewed Supergirl for a brand new season 6! So, I’m sure most of you guys will love that news.
Again, The CW confirmed that the new episode 10 is scheduled to air on Sunday night, January 19, 2020 at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
