‘Chicago Fire’ Season 8, March 11, 2020 Episode 17 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “Chicago Fire” fans. We unfortunately had to jump on here to let you guys know that NBC is not airing the next, new episode 17 of Chicago Fire’s current season 8 tonight, March 11, 2020.

Yep, that’s right, guys. For some unknown reason, they’re just not going to do it. What we do know is that you guys can expect to see the new episode 17 hit the airwaves next Wednesday night, March 18, 2020 in its usual 8 pm central standard time slot on NBC of course.

So, be sure to mark down that very important date and time on your TV show calendars as soon as you can.

So, what is NBC airing instead of Chicago Fire’s brand new episode 17 of season 8 tonight? Well, according to the TV guide listings, NBC will actually be airing Chicago Fire. However, it will just be a repeat episode of Chicago Fire.

This particular rerun will be the 5th episode of this current season 8, which is titled, “Buckle Up.”

NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Kidd must prove herself at the National Firefighter Leadership Conference while the rest of Firehouse 51 is called to two eerily similar car wrecks.

Mouch tries to keep everyone in the firehouse informed by starting a newsletter, but things quickly get out of hand. Cruz deals with a heartbreak.”

If any of you guys missed episode 5 the first time around, or if you just simply want to rewatch it, you might still want to flip on NBC tonight to get caught up.

However, if you’re one of the ones who absolutely doesn’t want to rewatch or see the episode 5 repeat, you will most certainly want to make other plans as quickly as you possibly can.

The lovely folks over at NBC were kind of enough to leave some information behind for the next, new episode 17 of this current season 8 of Chicago Fire via their official episode 17 press release. So, we’re going to briefly go over that in this article.

We must tell you that it does contain some light spoiler teasers. So, if reading spoilers isn’t your cup of tea, we do highly advise that you close out of this article immediately.

Now that our spoiler warning is taken care of, let’s talk about this new episode 17 press release. For starters, it reveals that episode 17 is officially titled, “PROTECT A CHILD.”

The new episode 17 sounds like it will feature some pretty intense, dramatic, emotional and possible interesting scenes.

In the new episode 17, a poor mother and her young son will get caught up in a suburban house fire! During the aftermath of this tragic event, Casey and Gallo will experience some personal issues with each other!

Herrmann will be quite busy in this episode. At some point, we will see Herrmann set out to campaign in an effort to get extra respect.

Elsewhere, Kidd will put her thinking cap to work. At some point, we will see Kidd start cooking up ideas that would allow her to give back to her community in some sort of way.

NBC’s official description for episode 17 reads like this, “Things get personal for Casey and Gallo in the aftermath of a suburban house fire involving a mother and her young son. Herrmann campaigns for more respect. Kidd has an idea for giving back to her community.”

Again, NBC confirmed that the next, new episode 17 of Chicago Fire’s current season 8 is scheduled to air on Wednesday night, March 18, 2020 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
