‘The Rookie’ Season 2, April 19, 2020 Episode 18 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “The Rookie” fans. Yes, we are back on here with a brand new article for you guys. Unfortunately, it’s because we have some bad news to tell you. For some unknown reason, ABC is not airing the next, new episode 18 of The Rookie’s current season 2 tonight, April 19, 2020.
But don’t worry. There is a bright side to all of this. We do have official confirmation that the new episode 18 is scheduled to air next Sunday night, April 26, 2020 in its usual 9 pm central standard time slot on ABC of course.
So, be sure that you absolutely do not forget that very important date and time if you are planning to watch it when it airs LIVE ,or if you’re planning to DVR it.
So, what is ABC airing in stead of the next, new episode 18 of The Rookie season 2 tonight? According to the TV guide listings, ABC is airing a repeat episode of The Rookie. The repeat episode they’re airing is the 13th episode of this season 2 titled, “Follow-Up Day.”
ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “Nolan is given some life-changing news and invites Grace over. Meanwhile, each unit is tasked to follow up on dormant cases in hopes of uncovering new leads.”
If any of you guys have a desire to watch this repeat episode tonight, you might still want to go ahead and watch ABC like you always do at that time. If not, you will certainly want to make sure to schedule some other plans real, real fast.
With all that said, we were able to track down some additional info for the next, new episode 18 of The Rookie’s current season 2. ABC served up an official press release for it, So, we’re going to reveal all the info it contains.
However, before we start in on the episode 18 press release, we must let you guys know that it does contain light spoiler teasers. So, if you’re opposed to reading spoilers, we highly suggest that you make your exit from this article immediately.

Alright, now that our spoiler warning has been delivered, let’s dive right into this episode 18 press release. To start, it tells us that episode 18 is officially called, “Under The Gun.”
It sounds like the new episode 18 will feature some very interesting, intense, dramatic, possible action-filled and emotional scenes.
In the new episode 18, Nolan and Harper will have to escort four juveniles to a correctional facility that is running a program that’s designed to correct the behaviors of the juveniles by scaring the living daylights out of them!
When Nolan and Harper arrive with their four juveniles, the situation will quickly turn into a crazy riot!
Elsewhere, Nolan will run into some major problems with Grace. You see, she will fail to introduce Nolan to her ex-husband, and this action will cause Nolan to start doubting the legitimacy of their relationship.
ABC’s official description for episode 18 tells us, “Officers Nolan and Harper are tasked with escorting four juvenile offenders to a Scared Straight program at a correctional facility that quickly becomes a riotous situation.
Meanwhile, Nolan is uncertain about his relationship with Grace after she fails to introduce him to her ex-husband.” An alternate description reads like this, “OFFICERS NOLAN AND HARPER ARE ON LOCKDOWN.”
Episode 18 will feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Harold Perrineau as character Detective Nick Armstrong, Ali Larter as character Dr. Grace Sawyer, Jasmine Mathews as character Rachel Hall and Matthew Glave as character Oscar Hutchinson.
The season regulars that will be featured in episode 18 are: Nathan Fillion as character John Nolan, Mekia Cox as character Nyla Harper, Alyssa Diaz as character Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as character Sergeant Wade Grey, Titus Makin Jr. as character Jackson West, Melissa O’Neil as character Lucy Chen and Eric Winter as character Tim Bradford.
Episode 18 was written by Terence Paul Winter and Elizabeth Davis Beall, and it was directed by Tori Garrett.
Again, ABC confirmed that the next, new episode 18 of The Rookie’s current season 2 is scheduled to air next Sunday night, April 26, 2020 at approximately 9 pm central standard time.
