New ‘The Bachelorette’ 2020 Possibly Delayed Until The Winter 2021

Hey, “The Bachelorette” fans. I sure as hell wish this was a post telling you guys to get ready for the new season to start. But sadly, it’s not.

As most of you are aware, the terrible pandemic hit our country earlier this year, and it caused the entire TV and Film industry to shut down filming back in mid-March 2020. The Bachelorette was no exception. It totally shut down just as the new Bachelorette headliner Claire Crawley was set to start filming her new season.

In this article, we are going to tell you all the new information we’ve just found out in regards to how ABC is going to handle this 16th season of The Bachelorette.

The folks over at Usmagazine.com were able to suck all of the details out of ABC. So, let’s get into it.

First off, ABC told Usmagazine back in March 2020 that they had to literally shut down filming for all of their productions, which is about 70-plus shows.

They stated, “With the rapidly changing events related to COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution, Warner Bros. Television Group is halting production on some of our 70-plus series and pilots currently filming or about to begin.

There have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on any of our productions, but the health and safety of our employees, casts and crews remains our top priority.

During this time, we will continue to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control as well as local officials and public health professionals in each city where our productions are based.”

They actually made this decision just hours before Claire was going to start filming her new season of The Bachelorette. So, they were definitely ready to get this thing going.

At that time, Claire hit up her official Instagram account to write the following message to her followers: “Well hello! Talk about most dramatic season ever! In all seriousness, Everyone’s health is the most important priority at this time, and as I’m sure you’ve heard, we are pressing pause for now on filming The Bachelorette. We are taking it day by day and even hour by hour as this is so unpredictable.

All I know for sure is that my heart is so full from all the love and support this far, and am still so excited for my journey to begin! I’ve waited 38 years for these moments, what’s a little bit longer, right! xoxo.”

Since then, ABC has been running various promos to cast even more guys for Claire’s upcoming season whenever it happens.

Claire commented about this on her Instagram stating, “I feel like since we have a break in the show right now, I don’t think it’s too late to submit people. So, submit them, why not? What’s the worst that could happen?”

Host Chris Harrison also took to his official Instagram account to comment on this. Apparently, these crazy times could cause some of the guys who were originally on board to participate in Claire’s season to bail out.

Chris wrote, “Obviously with this virus who knows when this thing is going to blow through. The idea that everybody is going to be able to take off work and do this again, probably very slim.”

Now, we’re going to talk about the moment you’ve all been waiting for, which is when does ABC plan to finally get this new season of The Bachelorette on the air. Well, first of all, ABC is currently scoping out a lot of different resorts because they plan to try and film this entire season in just one location and cut out all the traveling.

US magazine’s sources stated, “They’re scoping out multiple different resorts to see if it’s possible to film the entire season in one location. Though a resort has not been decided on, if one is found, the show has discussed filming the season without the usual travel.”

It’s also been reported that the hometown dates still haven’t been decided, and that all the contestants and crew members will be tested for the Covid-19 virus before the filming starts.

One of the ABC executives Robert Mills mentioned that they are hoping to get Claire’s season up and running with the filming during the middle of this summer 2020. So, that it can premiere during the winter, and that they might not even try to get to the new season 7 of “Bachelor In Paradise.”

Robert stated, “We’re hoping to film Clare’s season during the summer and turn it around for a winter premiere date.

If I’m being realistic, it would probably be mid-summer that we start. The Bachelor and Bachelorette production are top priority over season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, which typically films in Mexico.”

Alright guys. So, there you have it. At this time, those are the current plans that ABC has set up for the new Bachelorette season 16 with Claire Crawley.

We will still, of course, have to play this by ear as everything is still quite crazy right now. If we hear anything new, we will certainly let you guys know.

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “The Bachelorette” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
