Kristen Stewart To Star In A New Movie About Princess Diana
Hey, Kristen Stewart fans. We’ve got a great, new article for you guys today. It turns out that our former Twilight Saga starlet Kristen Stewart is back to work again. This time, she will be playing the very famous Princess Diana in a new move called, “Spencer.”
The movie will be directed by Pablo Larrain and scripted by Steven Knight. Spencer will be about a very important weekend in the early 90’s when Diana came to the conclusion that her marriage to Prince Charles just wasn’t working.
During this time, Diana decided that she needed to stray away from the path that was putting her in line to be the next Queen of England.
The timeline for this Spencer movie will span approximately three days. It will feature one of Diana’s final Christmas holidays in the House of Windsor in the Sandringham estate located in Norfolk, England.
This film is currently expected to start up production in early 2021 sometime. Director Pablo Larrain had some great things to say about our girl Kristen Stewart. He told Deadline.com that Kristen is one of the best actresses around today and that she’s very diverse.
He stated, “Kristen is one of the great actors around today. To do this well, you need something very important in film, which is mystery. Kristen can be many things, and she can be very mysterious and very fragile an ultimately very strong as well, which is what we need.
The combination of those elements made me think of her. The way she responded to the script and how she is approaching the character, it’s very beautiful to see. I think she’s going to do something stunning and intriguing at the same time. She is this force of nature.
I’ve seen movies from Kristen that are so diverse it’s incredible, showing different layers and her diversity and strength as an actress.” Wow, right?
Pablo went on to say that they’re very happy to have K-Stew as the lead in this movie and that she’s very committed to it. He stated, “We’re very happy to have her, she’s very committed. As a filmmaker, when you have someone who can hold such a weight, dramatic and narrative weight just with her eyes, then you have the strong lead who can deliver what we are looking for.”
Deadline.com pointed out that this movie will not deal with the tragic death of Diana. Her death takes place many years after the story they’re telling in this film. It will with the turmoil relationship she was having with her husband Prince Charles and the love she had for her kids Prince William and Prince Harry.
Pablo Larrain finished off this interview saying of this film, “Princess Diana died years after where our story is set and so we don’t deal with that. It’s only three days of her life and in that very small amount of time, you’re able to get into a wider, bigger perspective of who she was.
We all know her fate, what happened to her, and we don’t need to go there. We’ll stay in this more intimate space where she could express where she wants to go and who she wants to be.”
Currently, this “Spencer” movie has no release date or anything like that. They plan to sell it to buyers at the virtual Cannes Market by CAA Media Finance and FilmNation Entertainment. We’ll have to let you guys know at a later date when you can actually see this movie.
