‘Billions’ Season 5, June 21, 2020 Episode 8 Delayed. Not Airing For A While

Hey, “Billions” fans. We are back at you this Sunday with some very bad news. It turns out that the next, new episode 8 of Billions’ current season 5 will not be airing tonight and for many more Sunday nights to come.

According to a recent article from Newsweek.com, this terrible pandemic caused Billions to have to shut down production. So, they couldn’t finish filming the 5th season.

They were only able to get half of it shot. Right now, it’s currently not known when episode 8 will finally hit the airwaves because they have to be able to film again, and right now, they’re not sure when that will be.

Brian Koppelman, who is the showrunner for Billions hit up his official Twitter account last Sunday to let everyone know that episode 7 was the midseason finale. He also said they would get back to work on Billions’ 5th season when it’s safe again writing, “Tonight is the midseason finale of@SHO_Billions.

David Costabile, who plays Wags, directed and did terrific work. We all can’t wait to get back to work and finish the season when it’s safe. Hope you dig the show tonight. #Billions” You guys can view that tweet on Brian Koppelman’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.

So, what is Showtime airing instead of Billions in the meantime? According to the TV guide listings, Showtime is airing the new season 3 of The Chi in the 8 pm central standard time slot.

Tonight’s episode is the premiere episode 1 titled,”Foe ‘Nem.” Showtime’s official description for it reads like this, “A wedding alters Kevin and Kiesha’s lives. Emmett juggles his business and his growing family. Ronnie struggles to find his way. Jake’s estranged brother Trig lands back in town on a mission.”

If that sounds like something you guys would like to check out, just flip on Showtime tonight at 8 pm central standard time and have at it.

If you don’t want to watch The Chi’s new season 3, you will definitely want to make other arrangements as quick as you can.

Normally, this would be the part of our article where we tell you what’s coming up next in episode 8, but since it hasn’t been filmed yet, there’s no official press release for it. Not even a title.

What we can tell you is how season 5 did in the ratings so far. It averaged 609,000 LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.11 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The last episode 7, which aired last week on June 14, 2020, brought in 660,000 LIVE viewers and a 0.12 ratings score.

The highest-viewed episode was episode 7 with 660,000 LIVE viewers. The lowest-watched episode was episode 5 with 519,000 LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.14 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 5 with a 0.08 ratings score.

WTF COVID 19 you STINK. The sooner life gets back to normality (what ever that is?) the better life will be. As at the moment me living in the UK, the crap that the UK produce 99% of it isn’t even worth the TV Licence fees and this is even before this Epidemic hit the World, so you can imagine what sort of Sh@#t is on now. Now that productions have closed down in the US and TV shows are coming to a close (until filming starts up again) TV as we know it will be even less viewable, thank god for the 1000’s of movies and TV shows I have on my hard drive that I have downloaded over pas few months, I’ll just binge through these now or Netflix until the US start to produce again. Stay safe TV World.
