‘Penny Dreadful City Of Angels’ Season 1, June 28, 2020 Episode 10 Is The Finale. Season 2 Not Yet Renewed

Hey, “Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels” fans. We hope you guys enjoyed the very last episode 10 of the current season 1 of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, especially since it might very well be the last episode you ever see of it.

That’s right, guys. Tonight’s episode 10 is indeed the season 1 finale episode, and Showtime has yet to announce if their going to renew it for a brand new season 2 or not.

So, unfortunately, we cannot tell you if Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels has a future right now. What we can do is go over how the show did in the ratings arena and sort of make a guess from there. So, that’s what we’re going to do. Let’s get into it.

Season 1 of Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels averaged 352,000 LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.03 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The last episode 9, which aired on June 21, 2020 brought in 380,000 LIVE viewers and a 0.04 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 448,000 LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 8 with 289,000 LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was actually a five-way tie between episodes 1,2,3,4 and 9. They each scored a 0.04. The lowest-rated episode was episode 6 with a 0.01 score. Wow, I believe that’s like the lowest score you can get.

Anyways, judging from those numbers, I would have to say that the future of Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels doesn’t look too bright, but I’m not looking at Showtime’s books on this one. So, who knows? Those numbers might be good enough for them. I just highly doubt it.

We’ll have to wait and see what Showtime plans to do. Usually, cable shows don’t have to have large numbers to get renewed. So, there is some hope for this show.

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
