We’re still waiting to get an official announcement from The USA Network on the future status of the show. In other words, they haven’t yet renewed Dirty John for a new season 3 as of yet. Hopefully, they will. We’ll have to wait and see.

What we can do is give you guys a little insight into the likelihood of a renewal by looking at how Dirty John season 2 did in the LIVE ratings and viewership department. So, we’re going to do that right now for you guys. Let’s get into it.

Dirty John season 2: The Betty Broderick Story averaged 766,000 LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.18 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The last episode 7 that aired on July 7, 2020 brought in 752,000 LIVE viewers and a 0.17 ratings score.

The least-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 546,000 LIVE viewers. The most-watched episode was episode 3 with 905,000 LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was episode 3 with a 0.22 score. The lowest-rated episode was a tie between episodes 1 and 6. They both scored a 0.13 score.

We will say that the viewership for this show seems pretty ok for a cable show. We would’ve liked to have seen the ratings be a tad bit higher.

Usually, these cable shows don’t have to get astronomical numbers to land a renewal because the episode order is usually much smaller. Plus, the cable networks don’t have to rely solely on ad revenue to make money from the show.

It will all come down to what the USA Network actually has to pay for the show. Will they get offered another show they think might do better than Dirty John. You know? Things like that. I will tell you to just keep your fingers crossed because these things could go either way sometimes.

Again, the next, new finale episode 8 of Dirty John’s current season 2 is scheduled to air this Tuesday night, July 14, 2020 at approximately 9 pm central standard time on the USA Network of course.

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
