‘P-Valley’ Season 1, September 6, 2020 Episode 8 Is The Finale. Renewed For Season 2
Hey, “P-Valley” fans. We are back on here this Sunday to let you guys know a few important things about your favorite show P-Valley. The first thing is that its current season one is ending tonight with the airing of episode 8.
That’s right, guys. Episode 8 is indeed the last episode for P-Valley’s premiere season 1. The cable channels really keep these series very short.
The second set of news is something we think most of you will be very happy to know. STARZ has decided to renew P-Valley for a brand new season 2! That’s right, guys. You can expect this show to return with another set of new episodes for you at some point in the future.
We don’t know exactly when at this time, but we’ll definitely let you know when that important date is officially announced by STARZ.
Also, we don’t currently know how many episodes season 2 will feature. We’re guessing it’ll be another 8 episodes, but maybe STARZ will bump it up to 10. Who knows?
According to the folks over at TV Line, STARZ actually wasted no time in renewing P-Valley for a brand new season 2. They gave it an early renewal back on July 27, 2020. So, STARZ apparently really liked the results they got from it.
Christina Davis who is the president of STARZ original programming had some wonderful things to say about P-Valley during the renewal announcement stating, “P-Valley has quickly become this summer’s newest must-see television series as critics and audiences alike are taken up by the authentic and compelling characters that make The Pynk come alive.
Katori has delivered a provocative drama that looks beyond the glitz and into the hearts and minds of these fully realized and compelling characters, exploring them through a female gaze that invites the audience to take a walk in their stilettos. We know Katori has a lot of incredible stories to tell and a lot in store for these women in a second season.”
Let’s take a look at the numbers for P-Valley’s first season one. It averaged 326,000 LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.12 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.
The last episode 7, which aired on August 30, 2020, brought in 384,000 LIVE viewers and a 0.16 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 6 with 466,000 LIVE viewers. The least-watched episode was episode 2 with 216,000 Live viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 6 with a 0.20 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 1 with a 0.06 ratings score.
We’re guessing it got a lot more viewership from the streaming and on-demand audiences for it to get such an early renewal.
