Tonight’s performances kicked off with Nelly and Daniella Karagach doing a Paso Doble routine. Afterwards, Derek Hough said, “I really enjoyed it. You need better shaping though.” Bruno said, “I like that you had no restraint, and didn’t hold back, but you need to refine your artistry.”

Carrie Ann said, “I’m proud of you ,and I’m impressed by the points of your hands and feet.” Derek said, “I didn’t see the stumble the other judges saw. That was your best dance.”

Carrie Ann gave Chrishell and Gleb a 7 score, Derek a 8 and Bruno 7 for a total of 22 points.

Monica Aldama and Val Chmerkovskiy arrived next to do a Samba routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I loved the chemistry and balance between you, and your dancing improved greatly.”

Derek said, “It was a proper Samba with lots of great Samba content, and it was your best dance.” Bruno said, “You threw a party, and I also loved that it was a proper Samba with all the required elements.”

Carrie Ann gave Monica and Val a 8 score, Derek a 8 and Bruno a 8 for a total of 24 points.

Next, Anne Heche and Keo Motsepe hit the stage to deliver a Paso Doble number. Afterwards, Derek said, “You were sturdy and in control, and I appreciate the progress you made.”

Bruno said, “I admire your courage as a multi-colored warrior. This was the most focused performance of today despite some balance problems.” Carrie Ann said, “I consider you inspiring and powerful.”

Carrie Ann gave Anne and Keo a 7 score, Derek a 7 and Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

Nev Schulman and Jenna Johnson hit the stage next to deliver a Rumba dance. Afterwards, Bruno said, “It was a romantic dream set to music, and you were in tune.”

Carrie Ann said, “You supported your partner and added poetry with beautiful lines.” Derek said, “It was beautiful with great texture in your in-between movements, but it was hard to find the timing in it.”

Carrie Ann gave Nev and Jenna a 8 score, Derek a 8 and Bruno a 8 for a total of 24 points.

Next up, was Justina Machado and Sasha Farber. They danced a Salsa routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “This is the first time you got us all up off our feet, and I felt like I was at Justina’s house.”

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev followed them up with a Viennese Waltz routine. Afterwards, Derek said, “You were elegant and effortless. However, I hope to see you in a different style of dance from these slower, romantic numbers.”

Johnny Weir and Britt Stewart hit the stage to serve up a Jive routine. Afterwards,Bruno said, “You are at full throttle. You were performing. You were exploding out there. It was like seeing the real you, but you need to work on retracting your feet during your flicks and kicks.”

Carrie Ann said, “It was incredible. Everything about it was fantastic.” Derek said, “You opened up and let us in when you often seemed reined in on the dance floor.”

Carrie Ann gave Johnny a 8 score, Derek a 8 and Bruno a 8 for a total of 24 points.

Jeannie Mai and Brandon Armstrong hit the stage to dance a Tango routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I would not bet against you with all that fire and all that passion. However, the end of the dance got a little wobbly.”

Derek said, “I loved the first drop. The attitude was spot on despite the little slip-up.” Bruno said, “I loved the way you can switch your personality from dance to dance, and it worked extremely well.”

Carrie Ann gave Jeannie a 7 score, Derek a 7 and Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd rocked out a Rumba routine for their performance. Afterwards, Derek said, “I got a lot of joy out of that dance, but you need to pay more attention to your arms.”

Bruno said, “You move better and better every week, and you got those hips rotating. However, you don’t quite get your extensions right. You need to extend from your back, not your shoulders.” Carrie Ann said, “I think you understand the momentum of the dance.”

Jesse Metcalfe and Sharna Burgess danced a Cha, Cha, Cha number. Afterwards, Bruno said, “You drive me crazy, but you didn’t quite have the timing or the hip action. I don’t feel you’re quite there yet.”

Carrie Ann said, “Your musicality has improved, but you don’t have the ease that you show in the clip packages. There’s something there that we’re just trying to pull out.” Derek said, “You have improved, and that’s what it’s all about, right? However, you need to avoid speeding up when you’re nervous.”

Carrie Ann gave Jesse and Sharna a 7 score, Derek a 7 and Bruno 7 for a total of 21 points.

Skai Jackson and Alan Bersten did a Foxtrot routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I was blown away and so moved by that performance.”

Carrie Ann gave Skai a perfect 10 score, Derek a 9, Bruno a 9 for a total of 28 points.

AJ McLean and Cheryl Burke did a Cha, Cha, Cha to close out the performances tonight. Afterwards, Derek said, “Backstreet’s back, alright! It was a pleasure to watch. However, you need to work on your footwork.”

Bruno said, “It was very effective, but you need to work on the Cha, Cha part.” Carrie Ann said, “You’re a natural entertainer, but you need to watch your elbows. They were a little weak.”

Carrie Ann gave AJ and Cheryl a 8 score, Derek a 8 and Bruno a 8 for a total of 24 points.
