This Is Us Season 5, November 24, 2020 Episode 5 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “This Is Us” fans. Unfortunately, we had to jump on here, real quick, to deliver some very bad news to you guys. It turns out that NBC will not be airing the next, new episode 5 of This Is Us’ current season 5 tonight, November 24, 2020.
Yep, it turns out that last week’s episode 4 was indeed the winter finale episode. We were able to track down an official date for when you guys can expect to see the new episode 5.
It’s currently scheduled to hit the airwaves on Tuesday night, January 5, 2021 in its same 8 pm central standard time slot on NBC of course. So, be sure to mark down that very important date and time on your TV show calendars as soon as you can ,or make sure you have it committed to memory.
So, what is NBC airing instead of the next, new episode 5 of This IS Us season 5 tonight? According to the TV guide listings, NBC will be airing a repeat episode of the game show “Weakest Link” over the next two weeks.
Tonight, they’re going to re-air the 5th episode of season 1 titled, “Whose Theme Song Is About to Be Bye Bye Bye?”
NBC’s official description for it reads like this,”Jane Lynch leads a team of eight strangers in a rapid-fire trivia game. At the end of each round, it’s every man for himself as they eliminate the fellow contestant they consider to be the weakest link. The last one standing, can win up to $1 million.”
Then next Tuesday night, December 1, 2020, they will re-air the 6th episode of The Weakest Link’s first season 1 titled, “Who Thinks TikTok Is a Breath Mint?”
NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Jane Lynch hosts a suspenseful game of trivia. Eight strangers work together to win as much prize money possible. Then they turn on each other to eliminate who they believe is the weakest link. One champion will prevail to take home up to $1 million.”
Beyond that December 1, 2020 date, we’ll just have to play it by ear until January 5, 2021 rolls around. If any of you guys are The Weakest Link fans, you’ll probably still want to tune in to NBC tonight and next week to catch those repeat episodes.
If you’re not a The Weakest Link fan, you’ll definitely want to find something else to do with your Tuesday nights until January 5, 2021.
This Is Us’ current season 5 is still going very strong in the ratings and LIVE viewership numbers for NBC. It’s averaging 7.003 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 1.33 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.
The last episode 4, which aired last week, November 17, 2020, brought in 6.565 million LIVE viewers and a 1.20 ratings score.
If it can keep up that performance, we’re sure it has a very good shot at a season 7 renewal because it’s already renewed for season 6. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for that when the new year finally rolls around.
NBC has yet to release any promotional materials for the next, new episode 5. So, we don’t have anything we can tell you about it at this moment. We’ll definitely get something posted for episode 5 when NBC delivers something about it.
Again, NBC did confirm that the next, new episode 5 of This Is Us’ current season 5 is scheduled to air on Tuesday night, January 5, 2021 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
