Survivor October 6, 2021 Voted off Brad Reese (Recap)
Hey ,”Survivor” fans. Tonight, October 6, 2021, another new episode of Survivor season 41 did indeed air, and another unlucky contestant was indeed voted off the island.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with Tiffany finding an advantage with a twist. She had to take a boat ride. Failure to do so resulted in her losing a vote at tribal council. She ended up revealing this advantage to Liana and Evvie because they walked up on her right when she found it.
At the Ua tribe, Brad also found an advantage with the same twist as Tiffany’s advantage. He had to get on a boat. Failure to do so resulted in a loss of a vote at tribal council.
At the Luvu tribe, Sydney was seen telling Heather and Danny, “Naseer wants to get Danny out.” Sydney told the private cams, “We can live without Naseer because he could ruin all of our games. He’s so erratic.”
Sydney found an advantage. It was the same one as Tiffany and Brad’s. She had to get on a boat. Failure to do it resulted in her losing a vote at tribal council.
It was revealed that multiple people on the Ua tribe were looking for an immunity idol. However, Brad found the 3-way idol earlier. This idol is powerless until the other two parts of it are found and a special phrase is said. Since Brad found this powerless idol, he couldn’t vote at any tribal council meetings until the other two parts of this idol are found. Brad told Shantel about the idol and the advantage he found.
Tiffany, Brad and Sydney took their boat ride. When they got to their destination, it as revealed to them that they would be given the option to choose a tarp for their tribe advantage or steal a vote advantage.
If all 3 of them chose the tarp advantage, they would get tarp. If all of them chose to steal a vote, they lost a vote at tribal council. If there was a split, then some people would receive the steal-a-vote. Yeah, it was really confusing. They all talked about what they wanted to pick before heading off.
Brad ended up choosing the steal a vote advantage. Sydney chose the tarp advantage. They never showed what Tiffany chose. So, we have absolutely know idea what she picked. I guess they might reveal that in the next episode. Who knows?
Next up, was the immunity challenge. During it, the three tribes had to swim and make it through a water obstacle course. After that, they had to dig in the sand for a big sand bag that contained 5, small sand bags. Then they had to land the 5, small sand bags on 5 targets. The first and second tribes to finish, won immunity.
The Luvu tribe finished first. Yase finished second. So, they were both safe. The Ua tribe finished last. So, they had to figure out who to vote off. Ua also lost their flint. The Yase tribe got their flint back.
This challenge also came with rewards, which was a basket of fruit. The Luvu tribe got the bigger basket for finishing first, and the Yase tribe got the smaller basket for their second place finish.
At the Ua tribe, Brad told the private cams, “I want to get JD out.” JD was seen by Shantel walking around with his advantage hanging out of his pants. So, he had to end up telling Shantel about it. He told her he has an extra vote advantage.
Shantel told the private cams, “JD didn’t choose to tell me about his advantage, he just got caught because it was sticking out of his pants. I just can’t trust him.” Shantel campaigned to Ricard to get JD out. Ricard told Shantel, “I don’t trust JD, but I also don’t trust Brad.” Shantel said, “I don’t know what to do.”
Shantel and JD talked about him getting caught with the advantage. He told Shantel, “I’m sorry, but I want to make it up to you by giving it to you.” So, he gave his advantage to Shantel.
After that, we saw the Ua tribal council footage. During it, they talked about who they trust and don’t trust.
Brad got a note that said he couldn’t vote during the voting session. Next, host Jeff Probst revealed that JD got 1 vote, and Brad got 3 votes. So, by a vote of 3-1, Brad Reese got the shaft in this episode. He said, “Wow, you got me. I made a multitude of mistakes and trusted one person too much.”
