The Bachelorette October 19, 2021 Eliminated 7 Men Right Off The Bat (Recap)

Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, October 19, 2021, the premiere episode 1 of The Bachelorette season with headliner Michelle Young did indeed air, and she sent 7 guys home right off the bat.

Tonight’s opening episode kicked off with the usual introduction footage. We got to see a little more background on Michelle. They showed footage her teaching in class to her students. They wished her good luck on The Bachelorette. We saw footage of Michelle talking with her parents about her upcoming Bachelorette experience.

They also showed some video, intro footage for some of the guys that will be competing for Michelle’s heart this season.

Former Bachelorette headliners Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams showed up again to co-host since the show fired Chris Harrison. I miss Chris Harrison. Anyways, Kaitlyn and Tayshia were seen greeting some of the guys in their hotel rooms. They also went looking through their stuff.

At one point, they found something troubling in Ryan’s room. Apparently, he had some sort of guide to how to act on the show and what not to do on the show. That topic got revisited later, but at this point, they showed Michelle greeting Kaitlyn and Tayshia. Kaitlyn and Tayshia told Michelle, “We look forward to being your guides on this journey and so on and so forth.

Then, Michelle’s line up of guys started arriving in the first limo, and a lot of them had plenty of stick to offer in an effort to stand out. Nayte told Michelle, “Better Nayte than never.” It made Michelle laugh. She liked it.

Romeo said, “My name’s Romeo, and I hope you’ll be my Juliet.” Clayton told Michelle he used to be a student, and he brought her a ruler saying, “If I get out of line, you can discipline me.” He also let her give him a light spanking with it. It was a fun time.

Jamie told Michelle, “That dress was just fabric until you brought it to life.” Michelle said, “I like him.” Will greeted her by speaking a different language. I don’t know what the heck he said.

Chris S showed up on a school bus, dressed in a school boy uniform. He told Michelle, “You might have to take an exam of mine.”

LT showed up with no pants on. So, that was interesting and humorous. Rick showed up with his head sticking up in tray from under a dinner table. It was funny.

Ryan showed up on an ice cream truck. He told Michelle, “You make my heart melt.” Rodney showed up in an apple costume. He told Michelle, “You’re my favorite teacher. I’m just trying to be the apple of your eye.”

Daniel is a fire fighter. So, he showed up in a toy fire truck. So, that was quite humorous.

Poor Daniel got outdone by another fire fighter named PJ. He showed up in a real fire truck. Brandon J showed up in an actual bed. Michelle got on the bed with him. It was interesting.

Spencer brought two basketballs with him to show off his dribbling skills. Bryan danced. Jo Marri ripped his sleeves off. Leroy brought a camera and started snapping pictures. Martin did a back flip. So, that was cool.

Joe told Michelle, “I also live in Minnesota. So, you don’t have to convince me to move there.” Later, Michelle told Kaitlyn and Tayshia that she actually messaged back and forth with Joe online in the past, but he ended up ghosting her. However, she’s still interested in him.

After the greetings, Michelle went inside to greet the guys. She told them, “Stay open. Stay vulnerable and show me your true, authentic self because that’s what you’ll always get from me.”

Next, Michelle talked 1 on 1 with a couple of the guys. Jamie complemented her during their conversation. Peter made her some Italian food and fed it to her.

Joe and Michelle had a long conversation because she wanted to know why he ended up ghosting her online. Joe explained that he had a lot of things going on at that particular time, and he wasn’t ready to be in a relationship. He also said something about having a hard time expressing himself. “I wish I would’ve handled that situation better,” he said.

Michelle told Joe, “All you had to do was communicate. You didn’t have to be ready for a relationship. My concern is how do I know you won’t shut down again.” Joe then said something about how he took some therapy to communicate better. Michelle said, “I appreciate you being open and honest, but I have to protect my heart. So, I have a lot to think about.”

Rick talked with Michelle. He came from under the table and told Michelle, “I just want to make you laugh and smile.” Michelle said,”I like Rick and there was chemistry with him.”

Ryan told Michelle, “I really appreciate that you teach, and you’re so caring. I coach for the Special Olympics.”

After that, Kaitlyn and Tayshia told Michelle that they found some disturbing notes in Ryan’s room. They told Michelle, “They were notes about how to act around you. How not be a villain. How to make it seem like you’re super interested in the teacher stuff. How to get the most screen time.”

From there, Michelle pulled Ryan to confront him about the “how to” notes. Ryan told Michelle, “I’m very new to The Bachelor. I haven’t seen more than two hours of the show.”

Michelle said she wanted to read over the notes with him. So, they went to his room to read over the notes. Afterwards, Michelle told Ryan, “I’m not ok with starting a relationship off with red flags. So, I’m going to have to walk you out.”

After Michelle kicked Ryan out, she told the rest of the guys about the red flags she found with Ryan.

Next, Michelle talked with Nayte. He talked with her about his childhood. Their conversation went well. Michelle told Nayte, “You reset the night for me.” Michelle was also seen talking with Martin, Clayton and Brandon J at one point. Their conversations seemed to go well.

After all of the conversations were done, Michelle gave Nayte the first impression rose, and they kissed.

Next up, was the rose ceremony. During it, Michelle gave: Jamie, Leroy, Martin, Spencer, Rick, Clayton, Peter, PJ, Mollique, Romeo, Daniel, Brandon J., Will, Chris S., Rodney, Alec, Pardeep, Chris G., Casey, Olumide, LT and Joe a rose to join Nayte who got the first impression rose.

That means poor: JoMarri, Jack, Garrett, Edward, Bryan, and Brandon K had to make their exit to join Ryan who got booted earlier for being shady. And that was the premiere, guys.

The next, new episode of The Bachelorette with headliner Michelle Young is scheduled to hit the air next Tuesday night, October 26, 2021 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on ABC.
