The Bachelor February 28, 2022 Eliminated Serene Russell (Recap)

Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, February 28, 2022, another new episode of The Bachelor 2022 edition with headliner Clayton Echard did indeed air, and it ended with another woman getting her heart broken after the hometown dates.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with Clayton going to visit Susie in her hometown, which was Poquoson, Virginia. She took him to learn jujitsu. Apparently, she regularly takes classes. So, she took him to one of her classes. They seem to have some fun with it. Susie told the private cams, “It was so much fun, and I can’t wait for Clayton to meet my parents and know why I am the way I am.”

During one of their conversations, Susie told Clayton about how her dad got sick, and she wants him to be there when she gets married. “It’s a big deal for Clayton to meet my father” she said. Clayton told Susie, “I’m really excited to meet your father and hopefully live up to the expectations.” Then, they kissed.

Next, Clayton met Susie’s family. Susie talked with her dad Tom. They talked about his health. Tom said he was getting stronger everyday. Susie told Tom he’s the standard she’s been using when picking a man to be with.

Clayton talked with Tom. They talked about how special Susie is. They both agreed that they don’t understand how Susie hasn’t been snatched up by a guy yet. Tom told Clayton, “I think you’re a good guy.” So, that conversation went well.

Clayton talked with Susie’s mother Jean. She asked Clayton, “Are you in love with Susie?” Clayton said, “I will say I have very strong feelings for her. Love is very sacred to me, but I will get there.”

Susie talked with Jean. Susie told Jean, “I think I could marry this man. It’s scary because Clayton is someone who could break my heart.” Jean told Susie, “Clayton said he isn’t in love with you yet. He’s not there yet” Susie told the private cams, “What my mom said didn’t effect how I feel about Clayton. Obviously, I want Clayton to get there with me. We’ll just have to wait and see.”

At the end, Clayton told Susie, “Don’t forget about me.” Susie said, ” Oh, I definitely won’t. Don’t you forget about me,” and they kissed.

Next, Clayton went to see Gabby over in Denver, Colorado. She greeted him with a huge hug. She took him for a walk out in the woods. They went hiking, and they had a lot of playful fun together. Gabby told the private cams, “If Clayton proposed to me right now, I wouldn’t say no.” At one point, Clayton and Gabby also jumped into a hot tub, which just so happened to be placed in the middle of the friggin woods. Only on TV would that ever happen.

Anyways, Gabby and Clayton talked. Clayton said, “I’m excited to meet your family.” Gabby said, “I’m excited for the future,” and they kissed.

Clayton met Gabby’s family. They greeted him with hugs and smiles. They mentioned her dad couldn’t be there because he caught Covid.

Clayton talked with Gabby’s grandfather John. They talked about how Gabby has always a had a great sense of humor. At one point, John told Clayton, “So far, I like what I see.” John also talked to Clayton about how it takes time to really get to know a person and so on and so forth.

Gabby told the rest of her family Julie, Rich and Kira that she hasn’t told Clayton that she loves him yet. She said, “I’ve been very cautious with my words.”

Gabby talked with John. John told Gabby, “Just take your time with it because it’s for life.” At one point, Gabby’s father made a surprise visit. However, he just stood outside the car since he has Covid, and he gave her a loving message in writing via giant note cards.

At the end, Gabby told Clayton, “I really feel like I’m falling in love with you. I’ve been feeling it for a while, but seeing you with my parents solidified things,” and they kissed.

Next, Clayton went to see Serene in her hometown Oklahoma City. She greeted him with a huge hug and kiss. She took him to do some tight rope walking. They also did a huge 80 feet, free fall drop from a huge tower platform, and they kissed afterwards.

At one point, Serene told Clayton, “Today, was a lot of fun. I liked the way you handled it. I’m cautious about people meeting my family.” Clayton said, “I’m excited to meet your family.” Serene told the private cams, “With Clayton, I’ve been really comfortable. If my family sees the Clayton I’m falling in love with, they’ll see I’m really happy.”

Clayton met Serene’s family, and they greeted him with hugs and smiles as well. Clayton talked with Serene’s brother Roland. Roland told Clayton, “The things Serene has told you is huge. She doesn’t open up easily, which means she definitely sees something special in you. Do you love her?” Clayton said, “Honestly, I haven’t told anyone I’m in love with them. I’m not there yet.”

Serene talked with her mother Sherri. Serene said, “I told Clayton I’m love with him.” Serene also told her how Clayton got her the firefly gift when he learned about her relationship with her cousin.

Serene talked with Roland. He told her to be careful and think everything through. In the end, Serene told Clayton, “I’m in love with you.” Clayton told Serene, “This feels so good,” and they kissed.

Rachel greeted Clayton with a huge hug and kiss. She told the private cams, “Clayton makes me so happy.”

Rachel took Clayton kayaking. At one point, “They rolled up on a kissing tree prop and kissed. Then, they went swimming and kissed some more. Rachel told the private cams, “I’m falling in love with Clayton, and I want my family to also fall in love with him.”

At one point, Rachel warned Clayton that her father is pretty blunt, critical and tough. Clayton said, “I just have to earn his trust like I earned yours.” Rachel said, “I just don’t want it to effect the way you feel about me because I am falling in love with you,” and they kissed. Rachel told the private cams, “I just hope my dad doesn’t get in Clayton’s head and change his mind.”

Next, Clayton met Rachel’s family. Rachel talked with her friend Nate. Rachel told Nate, “Clayton has never given me a reason to doubt him.” Nate warned her how she could be getting played because there’s still other women involved.

Clayton talked with Rachel’s friend Sam: She told Clayton, “I just don’t want to see Rachel get hurt again.” She also warned Clayton about how mean Rachel’s dad can be.

Clayton talked with Rachel’s dad Tony. Tony asked Clayton, “What do you know about Rachel? Do you know her dreams?” Clayton said, “We’ve talked about how she wants to be a pilot.” Clayton went on to explain that he would do just about anything to support Rachel and what she wants to do.

Tony asked Clayton, “If Rachel isn’t the one, what are you going to do to not her hurt her?” Clayton said, “If I didn’t see a future with Rachel, I wouldn’t be sitting here.” Tony said, “Right now, you’re just another face. Until Rachel says this guy is really special to me, that’s when I’ll change my mind.”

Rachel talked with Tony. He told her, “I thought Clayton was very nice, and he seems like he would stand next to you.” Rachel said, “I always wanted you to be proud of me.” Tony said, “I am proud of you. I just don’t want to see you get hurt. If he’s what you want, I’m all for it.”

At the end, Rachel told Clayton, “Tonight, makes me feel even stronger for you. I’m falling even harder for you right now.” Clayton said, “Meeting your family means more than you know. Thank you,” and they kissed. Clayton told the private cams, “Rachel could be my wife.”

Next, Clayton talked with host Jesse Palmer and said, “I’m falling in love with all these women in different capacities.”

During the rose ceremony, Clayton gave: Susie, Gabby and Rachel a rose. That means poor Serene did not get a rose and had to say goodbye.

Clayton walked her out. Clayton told Serene, “I just want to say, ‘I’m sorry.'” Serene said, “I don’t really know what to say. What was it?” Clayton said, “I had to take a look back and reflect, and I had stronger connections with the other women.” From there, they hugged goodbye.

Serene told the private cams, “I’m so confused. I literally told the man I’m falling in love with him. He was able to break down my walls. I could see myself closing back up. So, I have nothing else to say to him.” And that was the show, guys.

The next, new episode of The Bachelor 2022 edition with headliner Clayton Echard is scheduled to air next Monday night, March 7, 2022 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on ABC.
