The Bachelorette August 29, 2022 Eliminated No One. Men Tell All Action (Recap)
Hey,Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, August 29,2022, another new episode of The Bachelorette 2022 edition with headliners Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey. No one got eliminated in tonight’s episode because it was the special “Men Tell All” episode.
However, they did kick off the night, showing Rachel and Aven’s hometown date because they couldn’t fit it into last week’s episode. During their date, Rachel greeted Aven with a huge hug and kiss in Salem, Massachusetts. Rachel told Aven, “I’m nervous because your parents didn’t approve of your last two girlfriends.” Aven told Rachel, “Don’t worry because it’s not the same thing at all.” Then, Aven took Rachel to a witchcraft store called, “Crow Haven Corner.”
The owner of the shop Lorelai gave Rachel and Aven a palm reading at one point. Then, she casts a love spell and told them, “Follow your hearts, and I wish you both the very best of luck.” Before they left, Rachel and Aven accidentally knocked over Lorelai’s table. They hoped that didn’t give them bad luck.
After all of that, Rachel finally met Aven’s parents. They greeted her with a hug and smile. Raven told them that within 10 seconds, he was sold on Rachel.
Aven’s father AJ told the private cams, “All these things on the show don’t happen all the time, and I’m just concerned about how Rachel will feel about Aven in the real world.” AJ talked with Rachel. He asked her, “What attracts you to Aven as a person?” Rachel said she was attracted to his honesty and so on and so forth.
AJ asked her, “Do you see being with Aven in the real world?” Rachel said, “Absolutely. For me, it’s serious. My feelings for Aven or so strong. I do see a future with him. I look forward to seeing where things go with him.”
Rachel talked with Aven’s mother Dawn. Rachel told her, “I feel very strongly for Aven. I wouldn’t have gotten his family involved if I didn’t feel serious about this.” AJ told Aven, “My conversation with Rachel went well.” Aven said, “I am getting to the point of being ready for marriage with Rachel.” AJ said, “I like Rachel. She’s welcomed to the family. She’s a good catch.”
Afterwards, Aven told Rachel, “I have zero doubts. My parents see how happy I am with you. I’m falling in love with you. I really am.” Rachel said, “I’m so happy you finally told me how you feel.” Rachel told the private cams, “It makes me so happy that Aven finally told me how he feels because I’ve been waiting so long for him to open up to me. I feel like I am falling in love with Aven. This could be my happy ending.”
After all of that, we finally got to the “Men Tell All” portion of the show. The former rejected men Roby, Jordan H, Termayne, Alec, Jacob, Jordan V, Quincey, Ethan, Spencer, Mario, Meatball aka James, Logan, Tyler, Quincey and Nate all showed up. They talked about what it was like to first meet Gabby and Rachel.
Jacob apologized for the way he told Gabby how he wanted to pursue Rachel instead. They talked about Hayden’s drama. Nate said of Hayden, “I’m glad Rachel and Gabby got rid of Hayden because he didn’t deserve either of them.”
Ethan told Logan the way he broke up with Rachel to pursue Gabby rubbed him the wrong way because it ruined the group date for a lot of the guys. Logan said, “I do feel bad about that, but I thought what I did was worth doing if it meant spending the rest of my life with someone.”
Then, host Jesse Palmer called Logan to the stage to sit in the hot seat and answer some questions. Logan went on to explain, “It was a battle of not hurting Rachel and following my true feelings for Gabby. It was unintentional for me to mislead Rachel. I don’t regret pursuing Gabby. I just wish I had done it in a more graceful way.”
After that, Jesse thanked Logan for coming back to answer the tough questions, and he revealed that Logan will be on the new season of Bachelor In Paradise, and that it is set to premiere on September 27, 2022. Jesse also told the crowd that they’re getting a free cruise from “Virgin Voyages.” So, they loved that.
Next, Jesse talked with Nate on stage in the hot seat. They watched his journey with Gabby. Then, Nate said, “My time with Gabby was beautiful even though we broke up. It hurt so bad to see Gabby say that she thought she would be a bad mother because she has so many qualities that would make her be a great mom.”
Nate also addressed allegations about his past dating life. Apparently, news had come out that he dated two women at the same time. He said he’s not that same person anymore and asked not be judged by that. Alec told Nate, “Truly great men make other men great, and I can honestly say I became a better person talking to you and being around you.” So, that was very nice.
After all of that, Gabby and Rachel showed up to talk with Jesse Palmer and the guys. Gabby and Rachel started things off by talking about how they supported each other the whole time.
Next, Gabby and Mario talked about what went wrong with them during the season. Gabby explained that she was unsure if Mario wanted to date her or Rachel. Also, they’re relationship just got lost in the mix of all the other guys. At one point, Mario told Gabby, “I think you kinda did me wrong.” Gabby said, “I kinda feel the same way about you. It seemed like you were into both Rachel and I, and I just wanted to be chosen.”
Rachel talked about sending Jordan V home. Jordan said, “I was just glad to be a part of your journey. We had a great “Zero Gravity” date. I will always remember it.”
Jacob served up a very emotional apology to Gabby at one point saying, “It took me watching it back, to see how terrible I was to you. I just didn’t have self awareness. The things I said to you were extremely hurtful. I am truly and deeply sorry.” Gabby said, “Thank you. I appreciate it.”
Rachel talked with Logan about how he broke up with her to pursue Gabby saying, “I just wish you were a little more honest at first, but I understand.” Logan said, “That’s totally understandable. I’m trying to be a better person from that experience.”
Rachel talked with Tyler about not meeting his parents during hometowns saying, “I knew the level I needed to be at to meet your family, and I just couldn’t get there, but I think you’re wonderful.” Tyler told Rachel, “I think you did everything perfectly. I just respect you so much.”
Gabby told Nate, “It feels so good to see you again. I think you’re such a leader for all the men in treating women the way they’re supposed to be treated.” Nate said, “Even though we broke up, I thought our journey was beautiful. I still admire and adore you.” Gabby said, “Thank you so much.”
From there, they ran some blooper reels from this season. Next, Luke MacFarlane and Billy Eichner showed up to promote their new romantic/comedy flick “Bros.” Then, they showed a movie trailer for “Bros.” Luke and Billy ended up playing a game called, “Dating do’s and Dont’s.” It culminated with Meatball aka James delivering an encore presentation of pouring spaghetti sauce all over himself.” He had a blast.
After all of that, Jesse told Gabby and Rachel, “I’m so proud of how you handled everything this season.” Rachel and Gabby told each other they’re proud of each other. Then, they showed a preview clip for the end of Gabby and Rachel’s season. Jesse capped off the show saying, “This season will feature the most intense and insane endings in Bachelorette history.”
Alright, guys. The next, new Bachelorette 2022 episode will get back to showing the dates. It’s due out next Monday night, September 5, 2022 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on ABC.
