The Bachelor February 13, 2023 Eliminated Anastasia, Genevie & Davia (Recap)

Hey Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, February 13, 2023, another new episode of The Bachelor 2023 edition with headliner Zach Shallcross did hit the air, and we saw another couple of women get sent home at the end of it all. So, let’s talk about it shall we.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the women learning from host Jesse Palmer that it was time for them to head out to the Bahamas to go meet up with Zach over there. That’s right, guys. They finally got out of Los Angeles in this episode and are now starting to travel. Needless to say, the women were ecstatic to hear the Bahamas news ,and they immediately started packing while screaming and yelling with excitement.

Once everyone got settled in the Bahamas, Zach took Katherine Izzo aka Kat on a 1 on 1 date. During their date, Zach took Kat for a walk on the beach. Then, they got on a boat and rubbed oil on each other and kissed a few times. They also went scuba diving at one point. Zach told the private cams of Kat “This is something that I’m looking for.” Kat told the private cams, “Zach makes me feel so comfortable.”

Zach told Kat, “I’m really happy with the way things feel with you.” Kat said, “I’m happy to hear that. Everything feels really good.” Zach said, “This has been one of the best first dates ever,” and they kissed in the water.

During the second half of their date, they talked over drinks. Kat revealed that she and her mother didn’t have a good relationship when she was growing up. She said, “I want a traditional family that I didn’t have as a kid.” She went on to tell Zach that she was scared to tell him about the issues she had with her mom because he had such a good and stable upbringing, and she didn’t know if he would judge her about that or not.

Zach immediately reassured her that she is fine by saying, “No, this means a lot. I wanna love someone for who they are, not for where they came from. You are incredible, brave and awesome. Thanks for opening up.” Kat said, “You make it easy,” and they kissed. Kat told the private cams, “I’m falling for Zach harder than I ever thought I would, and I love it.” Zach gave Kat a rose, and they kissed again.

Next up, we got the group date footage. During it, Zach took: Ariel, Aly, Charity, Kaity, Kylee, Anastasia, Davia, Gabby, Genevie, Greer, Jess, and Mercedes to have a party on the island. At one point, Anastasia pulled Zach aside to talk 1 on 1. Then, Kylee came and asked if she could steal Zach away a couple of minutes into Zach and Anastasia’s conversation.

Anastasia asked Kylee if she could have a couple more minutes with him, and Kylee wouldn’t let up saying, “I don’t want to have to fight you for him.” Then, Anastasia said, “Well, I’m not gonna fight you,” thinking that Kylee meant an actual physical fight.

Anastasia told the private cams that she thought Kylee was very rude in how she stole Zach’s time away from here, and she went back and told some of the other ladies that Kylee was trying to start a physical fight with her over Zach. Eventually, Kylee found out,and she was very upset with Anastasia for manipulating her words.

During the after party, Zach talked 1 on 1 with Kaity for a few minutes, and they kissed. Zach told the private cams, “I love talking with Kaity.” Zach talked with Jess and gave her reassurance saying, “Trust in what we have. Nothing you do goes unnoticed.” Jess said, “I appreciate that.”

Zach talked with Charity. He told her, “I’m toasting to you for just being awesome.” Charity said, “The things you do mean a lot,” and they kissed. Zach talked with Gabby, and they kissed. Zach told the private cams, “I enjoy my time with Gabby, and I just want our connection to grow.”

There was a point where Kylee was seen confronting Anastasia about manipulating and twisting her words around saying, “You knew I didn’t mean I was trying to get into a physical fight with you over Zach when I said, ‘I don’t wanna have to fight you for him. So, why would you go and twist my words?”

Anastasia swore she wasn’t trying to twist her words. Kylee didn’t buy Anastasia’s lame excuse, and she went and told Zach about how Anastasia manipulated her words earlier with the other ladies. She also told Zach how she heard from Charity that Anastasia had mentioned earlier in the season, ‘at least we’ll get more Instagram followers out of this if it doesn’t work out.'” Zach said, “Wow, that scares the f#%ck out of me.”

Zach pulled Anastasia aside to confront her about what Kylee told him, and Anastasia, of course, denied the allegations. She said that she had talked to some of the women about hooking them up with some of her social media connections she has made and that was it, and there was nothing mentioned about trying to get more Instagram followers.

Zach said, “I have to think about this because I take this process very seriously.” From there, Anastasia went and talked with the other girls. Kylee told Anastasia, “I told Zach that I heard from Charity that you mentioned earlier in the season, ‘If things don’t work out, we’ll at least get more Instagram followers.'” Anastasia said, “That was taken out of context.”

Meanwhile, Zach continued talking 1 on 1 with the ladies. He talked with Ariel, and they kissed. Ariel told the private cams, “It was nice to joke around with Zach.” Later on, Zach eventually gave Ariel the group date rose. Anastasia started crying and told the private cams, “I feel like this literally destroyed me.”

Kylee told the private cams, “I’m really scared at what Anastasia might do next because she is so much more manipulative than me.” Charity was seen confirming that she did hear Anastasia make that statement about getting more Instagram followers, and that it was alarming. “It made me second guess her real intentions.”

Zach and Brooklyn had a 1 on 1 date: Zach took her ATV riding. Afterwards, they talked. They talked about how glad he was that he picked her for this type of date because she actually grew up riding ATVs , and they ended up kissing in the water while swimming. Zach told the private cams, “I’m very hopeful about Brooklyn.”

During the second half of their date, Brooklyn opened up to Zach about how bad her previous relationship was. She mentioned that it was abusive, and it made her a shell of her former self. “I was not myself. I believe I would not be sitting here ,right now, if I had not gotten out of it.”

Zach said, “I’m so sorry you went through that. You are so tough.” Brooklyn told the private cams, “I think Zach is amazing.” Zach told Brooklyn, “I’m really lucky to be sitting next to you.” Zach told the private cams, “Brooklyn is a badass. No one should have to go through what she went through. I’m blown away.” Zach told Brooklyn, “Thanks for letting me see a side not everyone gets to see.” He gave her a rose, and they kissed. Brooklyn told the private cams, “I can absolutely see Zach as my future husband.”

During the cocktail party, Zach talked with Anastasia ,first, to give her one more chance to explain her side of the Instagram statement debacle. She told him, “I didn’t come here for anything other than a possible connection with you, and I don’t know how that info was passed.”

Zach said, “I appreciate your words, but I can’t discredit the other women,” and he ended up sending her home after hugging her goodbye. Anastasia told the private cams, “I’m literally confused because I don’t know what the Instagram talk was about. Zach needs to check where he’s getting his information from.” Kylee told the other women that she felt bad for getting Anastasia sent home, but the other women assured her that she did the right thing in letting Zach know what she said.

Zach talked 1 on 1 with Charity. She told him,”Thanks for being a great person. It makes me hopeful,” and they kissed. Zach told her, “You give me butterflies.” Zach told the private cams, “I love being with Charity. She makes me feel special.” Zach talked with Kat. He told her, “Thanks again for showing me your vulnerable side. I’m really excited to see where this goes.” Kat said,”Me too,” and they kissed.

Zach talked with Ariel, and they kissed. Zach talked with Davia. They ended up kissing. Kylee didn’t get a chance to talk with Zach during the cocktail party and started freaking out, threatening to leave because she thought she was going to get sent home for ratting out Anastasia earlier.

Finally, at the rose ceremony, Zach gave: Charity, Kaity, Gabby, Jess, Mercedes, Aly, Greer and Kylee a rose to join Kat aka Katherine, Ariel and Brooklyn who received roses earlier in this episode. That meant that poor Genevie and Davia were left roseless, and had to join Anastasia in making their exit from the show. And that was it, guys. That was tonight’s show.

The next, new episode of The Bachelor 2023 edition is scheduled to air next Monday night, February 20, 2023 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on CBS.
