The Bachelorette July 31, 2023 Eliminated Aaron Bryant (Recap)

Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, July 31, 2023, another new episode of The Bachelorette 2023 edition with headliner Charity Lawson did indeed hit the air, and we saw another unlucky guy get sent home at the end of it.

Tonight’s new episode featured the hometown dates, and it kicked off with Charity greeting Aaron in his hometown. They greeted each other with a big hug. They talked for a bit. Then, Charity met his family who greeted her with big hugs and smiles. They had a huge meal. Aaron talked with his brother Erick. Erick said, “Charity is a nice girl, and I think you two can solve any problem that comes your way.”

Charity talked with Aaron’s mother Ethel. She asked Charity, “What do you find attractive about Aaron?” Charity said,”I think Aaron is very gentle and passionate.” Ethel told the private cams, “Charity seems very compassionate and warm. I’m very pleased.” Charity told the private cams, “I’m still trying to get back to the place with Aaron that we were at during out first date, and I’m not sure we have enough time to get back there.”

Charity talked with Aaron’s father Eddie. She told him, “Aaron has a great heart.” Eddie told Charity, “I totally get why Aaron is serious about you.” Aaron talked with Eddie. Eddie told Aaron, “Charity is sharp, articulate and a keeper. I’m so proud of you,” and they hugged.

Aaron talked with his mom Ethel. Ethel told Aaron, “Charity is lovely an grounded. You two definitely have something there.” Afterwards, Charity and Aaron had a picnic. During it, Aaron told Charity, “I’m falling in love with you,” and they kissed. Aaron also played her the song they first danced to, which was by singer Lauren Elena. Charity told the private cams, “Me and Aaron are back on track, and if I were to end up with him, I would not have a worry in the world.”

Next, Charity greeted Joey with a very big hug. He took her to the tennis courts to give her a tennis lesson. His uncle Joe showed up to help them out with the tennis lesson. Afterwards, they talked, and Joey gave her reassurance that meeting his family will be great. Charity told the private cams that she plans to tell Joey she’s falling in love with him.

Charity met Joey’s family. They greeted her with hugs and smiles. Charity talked with Joey’s sister Carly. Charity told Carly, “I’m always extremely comfortable when I’m with Joey. We bring out the best parts of each other. I’m falling in love with Joey.” Carly said that is definitely great to hear. Charity told the private cams, “I am falling in love with Joey. I’m there 100 percent with him.”

Joey talked with his mother Cathy. They got very emotional. Cathy told Joey, “I’m very happy for you.” Joey talked with his uncle Joe. Joe said, “My biggest concern is that you’re not being your authentic self with Charity.” Joey told him, “I have serious feelings for Charity and plan to be engaged to her.”

Charity talked with Joe. He told her, “I don’t know if Joe is really ready to be a husband and father. I also don’t know if he’s being totally authentic with you.” Charity told Joe, “I feel like Joey is being very authentic. I’ve never gotten a sense that he’s being fake in any way.” Charity told the private cams, “I was concerned by Joe’s words because I might be missing something about Joey.”

Afterwards, Joey and Charity talked a little bit before Charity left. Joey told the private cams, “Charity seemed uncomfortable during our last conversation. I usually feel very confident after our dates, and for some reason, I don’t this time.”

Next, Charity greeted Xavier with a great, big hug in his hometown. He took her to a knitting class because he thinks knitting eases stress. Charity told the private cams, “It was such a sweet date, and Xavier was in his element during it. The other people were so welcoming. I’m seeing a whole different side of Xavier today, and it just makes my heart swell. This was exactly what I needed to see today.”

They talked, and Xavier told Charity, “I will always push myself to be better for you.” Charity told Xavier,”What we have is something incredible, and I don’t want it to end.” Charity told the private cams, “I’m ready, but I’m just concerned if Xavier is fully ready.”

Charity met Xavier’s family. They greeted her with hugs and smiles. Charity talked with Xavier’s sister Chelsea. Chelsea told Charity, “Xavier’s been searching for his person for a long time.” Charity told the private cams, “I liked that Xavier’s bee searching for his person. There’s nothing like a man with a purpose.”

Charity talked with Xavier’s mother Tracy. Tracy told Charity, “Xavier does want to get married and be a dad.” Charity liked hearing that, and they hugged.

Xavier talked with his father Clarence. Xavier told him, “I think I can get there with Charity.” Clarence told Xavier, “Charity seems like a nice young lady.” Xavier talked with his mother Tracy. He told her, “I feel like I’m ready to get married to Charity.” Tracy told him, “I do see a strong connection between you two. Don’t hold back with her.” Chelsea told Xavier,”I love Charity.”

Afterwards, Xavier told Charity, “Honestly, I’m falling in love with you.” Charity told the private cams, “Xavier could be my husband.”

For the final hometown date, Charity greeted Dotun in his hometown of Fresno, California with a big hug and kiss. He told her his parents couldn’t make it from Nigeria in time. So, Charity will just be meeting his brothers and sisters. Charity told the private cams, “I’m a little disappointed that I couldn’t meet Dotun’s parents.” Dotun’s grandmother was also their to greet Charity.

At some point, Dotun’s parents did actually make it afterall, and they surprised them. They greeted Charity with a hug and smile. Dotun’s mother Adenike said, “I can see the connection between Dotun and Charity.” Dotun talked with Adenike. She told Dotun, “I’m just concerned about Charity hurting you at the end.”

Charity talked with Dotun’s dad. He told her, “Dotun is ready to propose.” Dotun’s brother told her the same thing. Charity talked with Adenike. Charity told her, “Dotun is truly special.” Adenike told Charity, “If you pick Dotun, I will give you a nice wedding in Nigeria.” Adenike told the private cams, “I really like Charity.”

Afterwards, Dotun took Charity for a ride in a Thunderbird car, and they went to a drive-in theater that displayed childhood pictures of Charity and Dotun. It also showed pictures of Charity and Dotun’s dates this season. They kissed during it.

Finally after the hometown dates footage wrapped up, Charity talked with host Jesse Palmer about how she felt about the hometown dates. She told Jesse, “I’m falling in love with Xavier. I had concerns about Joey in regards to what his uncle Joe told her about possibly not being the real Joey when he’s around me, but I’m still falling in love with him.”

In fact, Charity said that she’s falling in love with all the remaining guys. So, it’s going to be really hard for her. Charity told the private cams, “I don’t know what the hell I’m going to do at the rose ceremony.”

At the rose ceremony, Charity decided to give: Dotun, Xavier and Joey a rose, which means poor Aaron didn’t get one. Charity walked Aaron out to his elimination, exit car. Charity told the private cams, “If I had more time, I probably could’ve gotten there with Aaron.”

She told Aaron, “There’s not a reason why. It’s just what it is. I don’t no if I’m making the right decision.” Aaron said, “I’m just grateful to have met you.” Charity said, “You deserve the best, and I’m just sorry it wasn’t me,” and they hugged goodbye. Aaron told the private cams, “I just don’t know what I did wrong. I was ready to make her my wife.”
