The Challenge USA August 20, 2023 Eliminated Amanda Garcia & Luis Colon (Recap)
Hey, “The Challenge USA” fans. Tonight, August 20, 2023, another new episode of The Challenge USA season 2 did indeed hit the air, and we saw two people get eliminated in this one when it all wrapped up.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off by picking up where episode 3 left off. Johnny Bananas had just won his elimination battle against Paulie Calafiore, and he had the option to switch teams via the defect twist. Johnny did decide to switch to the blue team and send Cory over to the red team.
After all of that, we saw footage of Josh throwing a major hissy fit. During it, he told Desi and Luis that he’s coming after them. Desi told the private cams, “The game is moving really fast, and I feel like I can’t keep up.” She got pretty emotional about it.
Next, host TJ Lavin gave the teams their new challenge for this episode/round. It was titled, “Side Swipe.” During it, the teams had to ride on some double stacker trucks. Then, swing back and forth from each side of the trucks to attach a sticker. The trucks were moving during this, making it even more difficult. They did this for 6 rounds.
TJ Lavin also told them this was a double elimination round. So, they were even more pumped to try and win it. When it was all played and done, the red team ended up with the most stickers, so they won to stay safe from elimination. They also got to choose which man and woman from either the blue or green team went up for the elimination challenge.
The Red team women pitched Wes and Amanda’s names. Josh told the private cams, “I want Desi and Luis gone.” He claimed that Luis and Desi mentioned his name for elimination in the past. Once the red team guys joined in on the conversation, a huge argument broke out as they had a very hard time reaching an agreement. Josh refused to back down on voting for Desi and Luis to go up, and he got his way by threatening to stalemate the whole thing! Also, the secret vote twist votes were casts.
During the elimination challenge, Desi and Luis were brought out. Then, the secret vote names were thrown into the ball hopper machine, and host TJ Lavin drew Amanda and Chris’ names. So, Desi had to compete against Amanda, and Luis against Chris.
The elimination challenge was titled,”Evil Eye.” In this challenge, they had to hold on to an evil eye plate. Then try to wrestle it away from each other and get it outside of the lines of a circle they were in. Chris beat Luis to win, and Desi beat Amanda to win. So, Amanda Garcia and Luis Colon got eliminated in this episode/round.
During the defect twist, Chris decided to stay with his blue team. However, Desi did decide to take Alyssa S off the blue team and take her place. So, Alyssa S was forced to go to the green team to take Desi’s old spot.
