Hey,”MasterChef” fans. Tonight, September 20, 2023, the finale episodes 19 and 20 of MasterChef’s current season 13 did hit the air with judges: Joe Bastianich, Gordon Ramsay, and Aarón Sánchez, and we finally found out who won this season when they all wrapped up.

Tonight’s new, finale episodes kicked off with them showing a video montage of the three finalists: Jennifer, Kennedy and Grant’s journey to the finals. Then, the judges told them that they will need to serve up a spectacular three-course meal for their final challenge, starting with the appetizers, and they were given 60 minutes to complete the appetizers.

During the appetizers challenge, Grant was seen running into some issues with his egg yolk ravioli dish. He told the private cams, “If my raviolis explode in the boiling water, I’m done.”

Joe and Gordon really expressed concern for Grant’s dish. Joe said, “Grant’s playing a really risky game ,right now, because his raviolis could literally explode in the boiling water.” However, Grant was able to make it work. The raviolis came out of the boiling water nicely. Grant said he was still a little worried about the sauce when the time was up.

After the time was up, the three contestants presented their dishes to the judges. Jennifer was up first with her Lobster Succotash with Sweet Corn Puree, Truffle Oil and Champagne Caviar Vinaigrette dish. Joe said, “The lobster is expertly cooked. It’s tender, firm and perfect.” Aaron said,”You cooked it perfectly.” Gordon said, “I absolutely love this dish. The lobster is cooked beautifully. Great start.” The judges did say Jennifer’s dish needed a touch more salt though.

Grant presented a Raviolo Al Uovo with Morel Cream Sauce, Truffle Butter and Shaved Truffles dish. Gordon said, “It’s delicious. Well done.” Aaron said, “I love the seasoning.” Joe said, “This is a delicious dish. It could’ve used a little more boiling time for the raviolis.”

The trout is cooked beautifully. Great job.” Aaron said, “I like the freshness of the puree. It’s magical.” Joe said, “The trout is perfectly seasoned and cooked. I like the safron tuile. During this challenge, the judges started worrying about Grant again with about 24 minutes left to go because he didn’t start cooking his meat yet. However, he eventually pulled it out. The judges also expressed some worry about certain aspects of Jennifer and Kennedy’s dishes, but they seemed to put their worries to rest by the end of the challenge.

When the entree challenge time was depleted, Grant was the first one to present his dish to the judges. Kennedy told the private cams, “My snow is not working,” and she started to look really nervous about it. She tried to do it for a 3rd time. Gordon told the other judges that Kennedy should just give up on the snow and move on. However, Kennedy was able to finally get the snow to work on the 3rd try. She said, “Never give up.”

The judges were also worried that Kennedy’s cakes may be dry and overcooked because she left them in the oven for a pretty long time. When the time was up, Kennedy told the private cams that she’s very happy with her dessert. “It looks just as I had envisioned it,” she said.

Kennedy was the first to present her dessert. It was a Black Sesame Cake with Dark Chocolate Ganache, Blackberry Mousse and Yuzu Chocolate Snow dish. Joe said, “It looks very beautiful.” Gordon said, “The chocolate cake is really dense.” Joe said, “The cake is dry. It taste more like bread instead of a cake.” Aaron said, “The cake taste more like a bagel.”
